"i'm a little sick right now but i swear when i am ready i will fly us out of here"

"uhm...call the police."

Tendou went to grab the phone before he realised he had no idea what to say to them without it sounding like a prank call.

"Uhm, Suga buddy, what do i say...?"

"just say...just say that our friend is not stable right now and uh...they're a danger to themselves and others and that we need assistance...?"

Oikawa had finally crumpled in fully as he crouched on the floor, his hands covering his ears and his face a blotchy, red mess from how he was sobbing, occasionally going into a fit of coughs and mumbling about how 'everyone were liars' and that they were 'out to get him'

Tendou walked to the quietest corner to talk to the police while the others could do nothing but watch their friend completely unfold and fall apart in front of them. Akaashi had put his head down on the table as he rubbed his temples, occasionally a 'sorry' would slip from his lips, albeit it was quiet and shaky.

....

The Police had come and restrained Oikawa and Suga explained that he had some injuries on his arms and so he was taken to hospital. Everybody stayed gathered, Akaashi was still muttering apologies but other than that, no one else spoke. It was like a terrible solitary space in the ice-cream bar that was once a safe haven for them all, no matter what they were going through.

"Sorry Kuroo."

"Hm?"

Kuroo looked over at Suga, if anyone should've been apologising it was him, not Suga.

"oh...That's okay, you had every right to be mad. i messed up back then, i'm sorry Suga."

It once again went to silence as everyone thought over the events of the day so far. The silence didn't last long though as Tendou cut in.

"That's cute n' all...but are we gonna go to the hospital orrr...?"

Everyone mumbled simultaneous agreements and slowly, one by one, they left the ice-cream place to make their way to the hospital in their own cars. Akaashi decided to go with Suga.

"should i call Bokuto-san?"

"sure...i'll call Daichi."

The two stood outside Suga's car as they called their partners before getting in the car and heading to the hospital.

"is Daichi coming?"

"Maybe later, he's working on an important case right now...what about Bokuto?"

"he didn't pick up, i texted him so when he sees that he'll probably drop by."

The rest of the ride was spent in silence, occasionally Suga would bitterly mutter something about 'people driving recklessly' but apart from that, it was silent. It wasn't a comfortable silence either, Akaashi could feel the way Suga was indirectly mad at him for his little outburst but he knew Suga wasn't saying anything because the man knew Akaashi was mad at himself as well and it just wasn't the time.

Once at the hospital, they found everyone else in the waiting room after talking to the receptionist. Oikawa had been transferred to the hospitals joint psych ward after his arms had been tended to properly and wrapped. it was around six-in-the-afternoon when the receptionist confirmed that his visitation rights hadn't been passed and that everyone waiting for him had to go home.

It was already dark out when they left the hospital and everyone was exhausted but no one could sleep with the recent events of the day. Akaashi felt like his head was spinning and he just wanted to lie down so Suga dropped him home before he went back to his own little house that him and Daichi had bought together a year prior to their recent engagement.

Akaashi was dropped at his shabby apartment and as he opened the door he was instantly met with the warm arms of his boyfriend, Bokuto engulfed the exhausted man in a hug.

"Sorry i couldn't make it to the hospital!"

Akaashi smiled against Bokuto's chest as he tightened his grip around his waist. The hug had been so immediate that Akaashi didn't even have a chance to close the door. So here the two lovers were, standing in the doorway of their dimly lit apartment, embracing each other like it was the last time they were ever going too see each other again.

"I messed up big time Kou." Akaashi's words were small and slightly muffled, due to the fabric of Bokuto's shirt smothering the man's face, But they were understandable nonetheless.

"That's okay 'kaashi! we all do things we regret sometimes! Just be honest and stay true to yourself and everything will turn out fine!"

There was a moment of silence as Akaashi let his boyfriend's words sink in. "Plus, I'll always be by your side, even in hard times! We'll come out okay. Remember Agashi! We're the protagonists of the world!"

Akaashi hummed in agreement and Bokuto felt the vibration against is chest. Akaashi pulled away a second later and closed their apartment door as Bokuto made tea for the two of them. Akaashi was too tired to tell him that he just wanted to go straight to bed, and anyway, Tea always helped him sleep so it was probably best to have a cup either way.

Akaashi thanked Bokuto as a hot cup of tea was placed on his night stand and Bokuto went to lie next to him as he sipped at his own cup.

"So...what happened?"

Akaashi sighed and placed down the book that he was really only half focusing on while he tried to push away what happened today.

"We, well, I told him."

Bokuto tilted his head in confusion and Akaashi thought about how it resembled that of a puppy.

"I'm guessing 'him' is Oikawa," Akaashi hummed, that meaning 'yes'. "Okay... so you told him what?"

"About how Iwaizumi isn't real, well, not this-his- Iwaizumi."

Bokuto made a noise signalling that he had listened to Akaashi after it had been silent for what felt like way too long.

"Well...either way, that's not his Iwaizumi. His Iwaizumi was the one he fell in love with. he'll soon come to realise it, Don't worry babe! Whatever happens next isn't your fault. I know how you think."

Bokuto hooked a leg over Akaashi's as he lay down, placing his empty mug on his nightstand. Akaashi did the same as he shuffled back into Bokuto making himself the little spoon as Bokuto wrapped an arm around akaashi's waist.

"Just sleep and we'll face tomorrow together" Bokuto mumbled as he drifted off, Akaashi eventually did the same.

He was however, still extremely nervous for what would come next.
