Finding Aurora

Chapter 15

Jason's POV

"We're leaving now"

I hate living in this house where I'm told what to do about everything. I need to get out of here with Aurora.

"Your not fucking leaving" Stone said blocking the door.

"Watch me"

I tried pushing past him but I couldn't while holding Aurora and our bags.

I set Aurora down and shoved him out of the way.

I tried grabbing Auroras hand to go downstairs but Damien picked her up.

She looked frightened and didn't understand what was going on.

"Put her down now your scaring her"

"If your leaving your not taking her with you" Leo said.

"Like hell I'm not she's my sister" I was starting to get frustrated with them.

"She's our sister too and you cannot just take her with you" Damien said.

"I-I wanna go with Bubby" Aurora spoke teary eyed.

I saw the flash of disappointment on Damiens face.

I tried taking her out of Damiens arms but he just tightened his grip.

"Damien if you don't let her go now I'll knock you out"

"I'm sorry Jason but I cannot let you take her" Damien said.

I tried to grab Aurora again but Stone held me back.

"Fuck off Stone I'm just trying to leave with my sister. You cannot keep us here"

"How about we let Aurora decide what she wants" Nathan announced.

"Aurora do you want this to become your new home or do you wanna leave?" Damien asked.

Aurora took a long pause before answering "I w-wanna stay here with Bubby"

Damnit of course she would say to stay here.

"See Jason please just stay" Leo said.

"Ok"

I knew it was no use with fighting with them

Stone finally let me go and I rushed over to Aurora and held her in my arms.

"We need to talk Jason" Damien said in a low voice.

"Can we eat first I'm starving?" Nathan asked.

"Ok the pizza should be here soon"

Right on time the door bell rang.

We went to the kitchen while Damien went to the door to get the pizza and pay.

I placed a piece on Auroras plate and her eyes lit up. She's always loved pizza.

She instantly took a bite causing me to smile.

"You must like pizza a lot sweetheart" Leo said smiling at her.

She just nodded and we all continued to eat.

Once we had finished we went to the living room and all sat down on the couch and Aurora crawled onto my lap.

"Jason we need to discuss your behavior from earlier" Damien said sitting across from me.

Great here it comes. He's gonna try and act like a parent and yell at me.

I nodded for him to continue.

"Since I am the oldest I am in charge. You cannot keep on doing whatever the hell you want. It's not safe and we need some rules put in place for you"

What the hell does he think I'm five?

"I'm not a child anymore I don't need your damn rules"

"Since you have been acting like one yes you do" Damien snapped back.

I just rolled my eyes at him.

"First of all no rolling your eyes. Secondly if your leaving you need to inform Stone or me on where you are going and when you will be back. Also you need to give me more respect and no more back talking me. Lastly I want you to trust us with Aurora more. Your not on your own anymore we can help you now"

"I understand that you guys want a stronger bond with Aurora and I will try and let that happen but you have to understand that we have been on our own for years so it's hard for me to trust someone with her" I said

They nodded their heads in agreement.

I looked down at Aurora and saw that she was beginning to fall asleep.

"I'm going to put her to bed and then I'm also going to bed"

We all said goodnight and I went up the stairs with
Aurora on my hip.

"Princess do you want to sleep with me or your new room?" I asked.

"M-my new room" she said sleepily.

I was a bit surprised by her answer but I guess it wouldn't hurt.

I changed her into her pjs and she laid down in her bed holding her pink bear.

"Goodnight princess I love you" I said giving her a kiss on her forehead.

"Night love you too Bubby"

I stayed for a couple minutes longer until she was completely asleep.

As I was about to shut her bedroom door Leo walked out of his room.

"C-can I kiss her goodnight?" he asked a bit hesitantly.

I nodded my head.

Damien was right I should put a bit more trust into them.

I watched Leo tell her goodnight and kiss her on her forehead.

We closed the door and I was about to go into my room but Leo stopped me.

"Thank you" he said.

"For what?" I asked

"For letting me tell her goodnight it means a lot. I've always wanted a baby sister"

I just nodded at him and went into my bedroom.

Stones POV

Around 2am I woke up to little feet walking by my room.

I quickly got up and looked out of my room.

It was very dark but I was able to see Aurora walking around quickly.

Why the hell is she awake?

"What are you doing?" I whispered.

She jumped when she heard me. I guess she didn't see me.

"I-I had a bad dream and I want Bubby"

In this moment all I wanted to do was comfort her.

"Do you wanna come sleep with me?" I finally asked.

She nodded her head and followed me into my room.

I placed her on my bed and she laid down quickly and placed the blanket on herself.

I laid down next to her and she instantly laid her head on my chest.

At this moment I felt infinite and loved for the first time in years.
