Later that night after he, Charlie, Hermione and Ron had finished their lessons for the day, Harry quietly entered the boys dorm while Charlie, Ron, Hermione waited for him outside of the boys dorm as he retrieved the cloak. "I got it!" he whisper-shouted when he came back and showed Charlie and Hermione it as they had never seen it before as they made their way down the stairs. "How will we all fit? Surely that it won't be able to cover us all." Charlie asked while thinking. "Don't worry, Charlie, I am sure that we will." Hermione reassured him with a smile. Charlie smiled back. When they reached the Common Room, they all spotted a toad on the floor looking at them. "Trevor!" Ron exclaimed. "You shouldn't be here!" "Neither should you." a voice replied as the toad went away. A boy in a chair turned around to face them. It was Neville. "Neville, you must let us pass." Harry tried to explain.

"No." Neville answered. "You'll get Gryffindor in trouble again. I-I'll fight you." he finished and started to raise his fists. "Neville. I'm really really sorry about this." said Hermione as she took out her wand and pointed it towards Neville. "Petrificus Totalus." instantly Neville froze like he was trapped in a block of ice as he arms snapped to his sides and fell onto his back paralysed. "You're brilliant, you know that?" Ron pointed out to Hermione. "Brilliant.... but scary." he finished. "I sure hope something like that never happens to you." Charlie added. "It won't." she reassured him. They then made their way to the third floor while wearing Harry's invisibility cloak. They quietly opened the door to see if Fluffy was there. "So this is where the trapdoor is?" Charlie whispered as Hermione nodded. "What is he doing?" Ron asked about Fluffy. "He's... snoring." Harry replied. Just then, Hermione saw what was making him sleep. "It's a harp. It's keeping him asleep!" Hermione pointed out. "Come on. We got to move his paw." and so they all managed to slowly move the paw that was covering the trapdoor. Just then, Charlie noticed something as they opened the trapdoor and looked down. "Oh no. No, this is not good at all." "What? What is it?" Ron asked. Charlie said nothing, but he pointed to the harp. "The harp! It's stopped playing!" exclaimed Hermione. Then, unbeknownst to them, Fluffy woke up. "If something bad happens, you need to get out." said Harry. Just then, some of the drool from one of Fluffy's mouths drooped down as Fluffy looked down at the 4 of them onto Ron's shoulder.

"Urgh!" Ron stated in disgust as he examined the drool. "That looks worse than Troll Bogies." Hermione said. "Uh, I wouldn't look up if I were you." Charlie said. "What makes you say that, Charlie?" Harry questioned. Charlie just looked up, making Ron, Hermione and Harry all look up and saw Fluffy growling at all 4 of them. "Jump!" Hermione shouted as she, Ron and Harry jumped as Fluffy barked fiercely and before jumping in after them, Charlie growled furiously at Fluffy angrily, making Fluffy whimper and cower up into a corner while whimpering. Meanwhile, Harry, Ron and Hermione had landed in a mess of plants. "Hey, where's Charlie?" Ron asked as Charlie landed close by Hermione with a yell and a thud. "Are you alright, Charlie?" she questioned. "Yes. I'm okay." he replied. Suddenly, the plants started to wrap around them as Harry and Ron tried to wriggle themselves free of it's grasp. Charlie and Hermione then realised something. "Stop moving! Both of you!" exclaimed Charlie. "This is Devil's Snare! You have to relax! If you don't, it'll only kill you faster!" finished Hermione. "Kill us faster?!? Oh, now I can relax!" Ron sarcastically stated. Just then, Hermione and Charlie sunk below. "Hermione and Charlie!" Ron shouted. "Hermione! Charlie! Where are you?" Harry called out. "We're fine! Just relax! Trust us!" Charlie shouted back as Harry sunk below too. "Ahh! Harry!" panicked Ron. "You alright mate?" Charlie asked Harry. Harry nodded. "Help!" yelled Ron. "He's not relaxing, is he?" questioned Harry. "Let us handle this, Harry." Charlie said as he and Hermione took out their wands and pointed them upwards. "Lumos Solem!" they yelled in usion as 2 bright lights shot through the Devil's Snare like a knife through butter as Ron finally fell through with a scream and a thud. "Phew." Ron said with a relief. "It is a good thing that we didn't panic." Harry, Charlie and Hermione just rolled their eyes.

As they carried on going deeper and deeper down, they heard a flying type of noise. "What is that noise?" Charlie asked. "Sounds like birds." Ron answered. Harry looked up and saw something that he did not expect to see. "They're not birds. They're keys." Ron, Charlie and Hermione looked up before Charlie looked back down again and saw a door which he tried to open, but it didn't. "What are you trying to do, Charlie?" Hermione asked him coming over. "I'm trying to open this door, but it won't open." Harry and Ron then came over as Ron took his wand out and pointed it at the door. "Alohomora." he said. Nothing happened. "Well that didn't do anything." Harry then looked back up at the keys which he was soon joined by Hermione, Ron and Charlie. "It has got to be one of these keys, but which one?" Charlie questioned as he was in deep thought. Just then, Harry spotted it. "There! The one with the broken wing!" he said as he saw a key that was struggling to fly. " He then saw a broomstick then got on it and left the ground with the winged keys chasing after him. When he was close enough, he grabbed the key. "Catch!" he called out as he dropped the key and it was caught by Charlie who put the key in the lock and quickly unlocked the door. The door opened, then Harry landed the broom safely, got off the broom and ran with Ron, Hermione and Charlie into the next room and quickly closed the door behind them as the keys were right behind them, they managed to stop the keys from following them just in time.
