Elizabeth politely asked that Ragetti come to the front, and he obeyed, meekly and slowly. She had also asked for the aids to bring forth the Code, and they waddled in with bored looks, as if they were tired of the entire affair already. The pup with the keys had positioned himself at the head of the table, his front paws resting on the wood as he looked to Elizabeth expectantly. She gave him a scratch behind the ears, and he released the keys into her care.

"Ragetti," she said, presenting them to him. "If you would."

The newly elected Keeper smiled nervously at the crowd before looking down at the codex and unlocking it. Evangeline could see his hands trembling, and she leaned into Jack to whisper.

"If he doesn't find the papers in that book, what happens?" She asked.

He peered down at her, his mouth stretched into a thin line. "All hell shall break loose. Someone will accuse Lizzie of lying, and then who bloody knows what else with this lot," he whispered back.

Ragetti opened the book slowly and carefully, but then turned to Elizabeth for instructions.

"Check between each page," she said.

"Check the middle!" Jack and Daniel said at the same time, and they looked at one another with disdain.

Lizzie shrugged and sighed, her patience running thin. "Check the middle then."

Ragetti nodded, and took several pages in one hand, flipping them over until he reached the center. Evangeline watched as both Ragetti and Elizabeth's eyes widened.

"Well?" Barbossa asked pointedly.

"There's something here," Elizabeth said, and Ragetti pulled page upon page of folded parchment from the center of the book and the room filled with noise as everyone began to speculate what it could be.

The two unfolded them together, laying a single-piece flat against the pages of the codex. They looked at each other in surprise.

"What the hell is it, Captain Turner?" Someone shouted.

She closed her eyes and brought her palm to her forehead.

"This piece of parchment contains names of every person currently serving aboard the Fancy, as well as their descriptions, and it lists her Captain's last known whereabouts."

Everyone in the room turned to look at Capitaine Chevalle, who seemed to pale even under his white makeup.

"Nom de Dieu," he said. "I must have a look, Captain Turner. I must confirm that that is in fact a list of my crew."

Elizabeth nodded and handed the parchment over so that it could be passed down to the Frenchman. When he finally got his hands on it, he was forced to slap away the greedy fingers of his crew members who wished to see. He looked over it, his eyes moving quickly over each name, his lips moving as he read the names to himself. When he finished, he looked up to the crowd and nodded.
