Nico POV

I was not excited for my first History of Magic class. No one cares about history.

But Nico, your whole family is history! I'm aware, thank you.

We have been at Hogwarts for a week. I missed the first History of Magic, because it was after the boggart issue. Hopefully I could talk myself out of too much trouble. I sat down next to Will and Reyna. Draco, Percy, and Annabeth were behind me. I heard the door open, and assumed the teacher came in. I heard Percy snicker behind me, and I turned. The teacher was a ghost. Great.

The teacher turned and saw me, and his eyes widened in shock.

My father once told me that when ghosts see me, they see a crown of shadows on my head, but only the dead can see it. I'm guessing that's what this ghost saw.

I tried to read the ghost, and the information appeared in my mind. This was Binns.

Binns instantly bowed. "My Prince-I mean my king-er, I mean-" I interrupted him.

"And why are you here?" I asked in a bored tone, putting my feet on my desk, to establish my dominance above him.

"Lady Heca-" I interrupted again.

"You know what? We'll talk about this after class. For now, I'm just a normal student, kay?" He nodded.

After class, I stayed behind. The other demigods said they'd leave, but I'm pretty sure they're just on the other side of the door, laughing. I stood in front of Binns, who was a bumbling mess.

"My lord-er, Master,- King, um- Prince, I-" I interrupted him.

"Stop making a fool out of yourself, Binns, and tell me why you aren't in Punishment," I said.

"Lady Hecate gave me and the other ghosts permission," He said quickly.

"And did Hecate get permission from Hades?" I asked calmly.

"Er, no, my prince," He said. I sighed.

"Just don't get in our way, and don't address me, I am just a normal student. Okay?" He nodded, and I walked out. As suspected, Percy, Annabeth, Will, Draco, and Reyna were on the other side of the door.

"How much did you guys hear?" I asked.

"All of it, My Prince," Percy mock bowed. I rolled my eyes.

"I'm seriously shocked you didn't banish him," Reyna said.

"I wanted to, and will if he gets annoying," I responded.

"You can't just go around banishing and killing people who bother you," Will said with a smile.

"Why not?" I challenge.

"Because it's illegal," Annabeth pointed out.

"Has that ever stopped me before?" I asked.

"No, but-"

"I rest my case."

Draco and Reyna rolled their eyes.

"Come on," Reyna said. "We're going to be late for class. We have Divination."

"That useless class won't teach you a thing," Draco said.

"Great," Percy sighed. "Now we can change the name from Divination to Boring."

"I'm pretty sure they already did," Draco laughed.
