The Other Side {Sirius Black}

CHAPTER 1

POV VIVIAN RUE HOLLAND

"Rue! Rue!" I run towards the red haired girl who's standing a couple meters away and yelling my name. We fly into each other's arms and I hug my friend. I haven't seen her in the last two weeks, so we've got a lot to talk about.

"Hey Rue, Hi Lils." Dorcas and Marlene come running towards me. "Hey girls! Had a good summer?" "We were together for the greater part of it, but yeah, it was pretty good." Laughs Dorcas, who jumps on my back. Yes, I'm a bit taller than that curly head.

"Hey! Had a good summer?" "Yeah! How was yours?" Mary hugs us as well and the whole gang is back together again. We start talking about the stuff we did last summer, when we weren't together, until I hear a very familiar voice.

"Hey! Holland!" I turn around and I see Sirius Black standing before me.

"What do you want, Black?" He gives me a little smirk. I hate it, when he does that. It makes him look so damn hot.

"I need to talk to you. We need to divide tasks on pranking the teachers. Since we're not going to get Evans with Prongs in one compartment, we'll have to deal with you only." I nod. "I'll see you on the train. Now, hurry away from me, I've got some dignity." He walks away, still smirking. I roll my eyes and turn back to the other girls again, while I know Sirius is staring at me.

"What does he want from you?" Marlene asks, as we're searching for a compartment in the train. Lily's already off for her Prefect's duties, but the others are still together.

"Well, we're the only girls in the school he hasn't had yet, so I'm his new victim. The moment he realizes he's never going to get me, he'll turn to you guys." They roll their eyes as well and sit down.

"You know, I don't think that's completely true. Black stays away from girls in a relationship and from the girls his friends have interest in. So Dorcas is safe, because the Lupin boy clearly likes you. Marlene is safe because she's dating Dean Lewis, that boy from Ravenclaw. And Lily's safe because everyone knows Potter has had an interest forever in that red-head. So the moment he turns away from you, I'm the new victim." Explains Mary, who opens the door in a compartment and thrusts herself on the couch. I decide to go and sit on her legs, which she pulls away just in time. We lay our feet on each other and then continue talking.

"Holland, we need you, for a second." Sirius opens the door in our compartment and I walk after him.

However, instead of going to the other boys, Sirius drags me to a place no one can find us.

"Do you know how much I missed you, last summer?" He asks, before letting his lips crash on mine.

"Very much, Black. And I missed you as well." I say softly, as he wraps his protecting arms around me and kisses my hair. He's very tall for me, with my 1.72. Compared to his 1.86, I'm very small.

"Why can't everybody just know about us?" I ask. It's more like a whisper. Something no one can know.

"Because everyone thinks we hate each other. And we have to keep quiet, at least until Lily and James get together." Sirius says, in the same whisper as I talked to him.

He lifts me up and sits me down on the little table in the compartment.

"How was your summer?" I ask, although I know the answer. "Worse." "Even worse than last summer?" Sirius only goes home for his family in the summer, because he hates them, just like they despise him.

"Yeah. However, how was yours?" "It was great. Despite the fact that I had to miss you, I spent the greater part of the summer at Dorcas', because we had a ton of sleepovers over there. And Anna turned eleven, so she's off to Hogwarts now as well and we went to France, in the last two weeks of the holidays. It was fantastic." I say. Anna is my younger sister. She turned eleven last August and now she's making new friends at Hogwarts.
