The Other Side {Sirius Black}

CHAPTER 5

POV VIVIAN RUE HOLLAND

"Rue! RUE! Darn that kid sleeps way too much and way too deep." I hear Dorcas say, before I slowly open my eyes.

"Finally!" yells Lily, when I sit up. We all start laughing and Lily gets a pillow thrown at her head.

"Come on, we need to get ready. The boys will be waiting for us." I nod and I change as fast as I can, before going down to the common room, to wait for the boys, who aren't downstairs yet.

"You would say boys have to wait for girls, but then you haven't met Sirius, James and their egos yet." says Lily, while all the others are sniggering and laughing.

"Come on. I'm starving." Peter takes the lead to the kitchens and he is the one to tickle the pear, before entering the kitchens with all the house-elves.

"Tebby? Tebby, can you make us some breakfast? We're all hungry. Oh and can you give us some snacks to take with us?" The little house-elf nods and instructs seven others and himself what to do, before working as hard as they can, to make us a proper breakfast. I really wonder why these elves like to do this, without payment. But I'm not complaining, because they are the best chefs I've ever known.

Ten minutes later, we're loaded with food. We decide to have breakfast down in the kitchens, before we leave.

Dawn is cracking, as we sneak out of the castle and walk the familiar path to Hogsmeade.

"What are we going to do?" I ask, looking towards the upcoming sun. "Hog's Head Inn? They're always open." suggests Peter. Everyone agrees and we walk towards the shaggy and dusty pub.

"Hi Aberforth." The old man behind the dusty counter gives a slight nod as response to Sirius, who seems to know this place better than the rest of us.

"You can get a firewhiskey here, you didn't think I haven't been here, do you?" says Sirius. We all start snickering softly and we sit down at one of the bigger tables.

"What do you want? They've got everything here." Sirius says.

"Can I get a firewhiskey." James and Peter ask, at the same time.

"It's eight in the morning!" says Mary.

"You are sixteen." hisses Lily.

"I hear six butterbeers and three fire whiskeys." he looks at Aberforth and in a matter of seconds, we all have a drink. Lily still gives disapproving looks at mainly James, but I don't say anything. If Mary hadn't said it was eight in the morning, I would have gotten a firewhiskey as well and one look at Dorcas tells me that she would have done the same.

"Come on, shops should be opening by now." Sirius pays for our drinks and we go outside to go to Zonko's Joke Shop.

When we have all done our shopping for upcoming pranks, we walk to Honeydukes. The candy shop is one of the most fantastic candy shops I have ever been to and I'm not the only one who thinks that, so we spend a lot of time there.

"Let's go to the Shrieking Shack!" yells Dorcas, as we walk outside again, with all the food and presents and stuff we needed.

"Why? The 'ghosts' aren't there anyways." Remus says, sniggering. Everyone laughs softly and instead of going to the Shrieking Shack, we walk to the edge of the village, to drop down to have lunch with the food the House-elves have made us.

"Evans? I want to show you something." "Same counts for you, Dorcas." The four all walk away and Sirius pulls me up, walking away as well.

"What the-" "Don't ask." he pulls me towards a bit of an unnoticed spot and then crashes his lips on mine.

"We need to go to Hogsmeade together, anytime soon. With just the two of us." he says, when we let go.

"We can go on Valentine's day. If you ask me to be your date, of course. I mean, James will try with Lily, Dorcas and Remus are definitely going together, I bet Marlene is going together with her boyfriend and then we're left with Peter and Mary. And the girls have made a pact. On Valentine's day, we don't go to Hogsmeade with friends. You go with your date. Whether that's a boy or a girl doesn't matter, you just have a date." "Great. So, Vivian Rue Holland, will you be my date, on Valentine's day, coming February?" I snigger softly and I nod.

"It's in four months, I'm in." We both start laughing and Sirius gives me another soft kiss.

"I love you, Vivi." "Love you too, Sirius." he smiles and hugs me, which still is the best feeling ever.

"What did you show me, if they ask?" "A bush that looks like a stag." I smirk and we walk back to the rest, only to see we're the first ones to have returned.

When the others return, I try to change my appearance, which surprisingly works out.

"Wow, you do have a beautiful pig snout now, Rue." sniggers James, when he sees me.

"Thank you, James." I change my nose back to its normal form and we all stand up and clean the mess we have made, to go to some shops we didn't visit yet.

When we're all hungry again, we go to the Three Broomsticks, for dinner and butterbeers.

After dinner, we all go back to the Hog's Head, because everyone wants to try firewhiskey.

"Aberforth, can I have nine glasses of firewhiskey, please?" within a minute, everyone has a glass with the liquid in front of them.

"Cheers." We all take a sip and we all start laughing afterwards, because of the looks we give each other.

"Guys, the sun is setting. Shall we go back?" suggests Peter, when we finished our drinks. Everyone agrees and I pay for the drinks, after which we walk outside, back to the castle.

"Come on, this way." Sirius holds up a door and we all walk in, entering a dark tunnel.

"Lumos." All our wands light up, as we walk through the tunnel.

"One of the seven secret passageways we discovered." states Sirius, who has the Marauders Map in his hand.

"I still wonder how you guys did it, though." says Dorcas, who examines the map as well.

"Yeah, that's a secret between the four of us." says Remus, after which Sirius gives the folded map to James again.

When we're getting closer to another door, the map is revealed again.

"Filch is checking on the other side of the castle and Mrs Norris is with him. If we go now, we can make it to the common room." James takes the lead, with his invisibility cloak in his hands. It won't help a lot, since it's quite difficult covering nine people in one cloak.

"Filch is coming! RUN!" hisses Remus, which makes us all start running towards the common room.

"Major Leones!" yells Dorcas. The portrait immediately opens, but you can hear the fat lady hiss.

"Always in a rush, those nine. And always up to no good." Everyone starts sniggering softly, as we all dump down on the couch.

"That was nice." I state. Everyone agrees and we start talking a bit about the day, until we see a new notice on the notice board.

"I think we're going to Hogsmeade again, next week." sniggers Marlene, which makes everyone burst out laughing.
