The two kept on walking through the cave, hoping to find an exit of some sort that would lead them away from this whole predicament. All they had just wanted to do was live a normal life, but then, the ships changed everything.
"How did they get us back here so fast? We were floating up in space, and then all of a sudden, Valve guards knocked us out, and we're somehow back here!" GameShart Employee wondered.
"There's some weird stuff going on here for sure," said Squirrel. "This world isn't as normal as I thought it was, but I can't really speak too much because I don't remember anything past 6 months ago."
All of a sudden, footsteps could be heard behind the two. Someone- or something- was running towards them. And it wasn't a normal survivor. They could tell.
"Uh oh," said Squirrel. "We better start running. They could be Valve for all we know."
The two began to run further into the cave. Squirrel looked back for a split second, and he caught a glimpse of their pursuer.
He had black hair, glasses, a white shirt, a black tie, and black pants.
"GET BACK HERE!" the man shouted.
"RUN!" GameShart Employee yelled.
The man shot lasers at them from his phaser rifle while he was running. Thankfully, since he was running, his shots all missed.
"FAIRIES!" the man shouted.
The two could notice a strange sort of change in their scenery. What had once been a cave was slowly getting more and more technological as they went on. The two felt weird. Something wasn't right here.
The light in the passage was getting more and more abundant, and the two were almost out of breath. They had to be getting close to the exit out of this horrid place.
The man was right behind them, and was quickly gaining time!
The two suddenly sprinted and took a sharp left turn at a junction, and the man took a right turn.
They had done it. They had finally escaped their pursuer. They could finally escape from here, normally, or so they thought.
The two stopped for a moment to catch their breath, and continued to trek on through the tunnel.
Not before long, there was a huge door. There was a switch next to it. Squirrel pressed the switch, and the gate lifted up.
They looked past the gate.
They were in space, again. In a hangar.
"How are we back in space?!" Squirrel exclaimed. Nothing made sense at this point.
The two decided to walk through the gate. However, as it turned out, this would be one of the worst decision of their lives.
