Chapter 21: Unrelenting Power

Thoris stands over an array of soldiers.

"Our prisoners have been freed! York is most likely dead! We need to prepare for their counterattack!" He yells.

Suddenly a thunderous boom echoes from behind the large metal doors. All of the soldiers turn around to the door and aim their guns.

"There's no way they can get through! Those doors are two inches of solid steel!" Thoris shouts reassuringly.

Another loud pounding sound slams against the door. And then another, and another. Each boom from the door sinks fear into the soldiers. Their breath becomes heavier and heavier in anticipation. The door starts to slowly bend and give in. Another booming hit. The top hinge of the door begins to come off. Another pounding sound comes from the door. With one last hit, the steel doors explode off of the tower with incredible speed. Soldiers begin to scream as giant metal doors fly at them. Blood sprays into the air as over half of the soldiers are splattered by the flying debris. Thoris ducks as a door flies over him and crashes into the outer wall. He looks back at the tower where the door was, but blood and dirt float in the air. Two soldiers slowly get off the ground and look at the tower entrance. Within an instant, both of their throats get slashed as a silhouette passes by. Another soldier, completely shaking, points his gun at the dust cloud.

"Death is my dignity" Rage sings into his ear.

The soldier gasps as a needle impales his throat. The air starts to settle. "There she is! Fire!" Shouts one of the charging soldiers.

Rage look at them over her shoulder; her glowing red eyes striking fear into their hearts. Suddenly, Insanity grabs the two soldiers by their throats, slams them to the ground, and squeezes as hard as she can until their bones crack. Insanity slowly stands up from the corpses as Rage stands next to her. The air is cleared now. All of the soldiers stare in fear as they see two of the same person. Thoris stares in disbelief.

"Kill her!! It doesn't matter how many there are! Kill all of them!" Thoris screams in frustration.

With a sinister grin, Insanity dashes to the side and vanishes. Rage dashes forward and hurls a handful of needles. Blood pours onto the ground as bodies collapse. Screams of agony fill the air. Insanity's roaring echoes in the distance.

"Die!!" A soldier shouts in fear as he aims a rifle at Rage.

Insanity suddenly tackles him to the side. Rage smiles as blood splatters everywhere. Rage charges forward and kills a few more soldiers.

"Your curiosity feeds off of my animosity" Rage sings as she appears behind two more soldiers.

The two quickly turn around, but only to have needles shoved deep into their eyes. Rage turns her head to the side to see a soldier kneeling on the hood of a transport truck with his weapon aimed. Suddenly, he is pushed down onto the hood of the truck. Insanity stands over him, completely covered in blood. She reaches down, holds the side of his head, and begins to pull.

"Down with all that is good and clean! You can't annihilate me!" She screams at the top of her lungs.

With one clean rip, the man's head detaches from his neck; blood spewing in all directions. Insanity leaps off of the truck, head still in her hand, and vanishes. Rage grins as she slowly walks forward as Insanity tackles another soldier to the ground. With a horrid grin, Insanity beats the man's face with the head still in her hand. Rage walks up next to Insanity after she has beaten the soldier to death. Insanity slowly rises as soldiers surround them in a full circle. Both Rage and Insanity drip with fresh blood on their clothes. Rage softly holds her face as she rubs the blood into her skin.
