Chapter 5: Bloody Escape

"What kind of proposition?" says Delia.

Akahito leans forward and says "I want you to join my Guardsmen squad. If you accept, you will be released from here and placed under my watch. You will also become a temporary Guardsman. Lastly, we can work to clean your record".

Delia scoffs and starts to chuckle. Then she looks around the room to look at everyone else. "Look. You're sweet for thinking of me for this, but I won't be of any help to you. I will get my own freedom with my own power" says Delia.

Akahito leans back and sighs. "What power?" He says, "You're imprisoned here for 5 life sentences. Do you not remember all of those people that you hurt?".

Delia becomes enraged and grabs the collar of Akahito's jacket. "They deserved it! they treated me like a monster!!" Delia screams at him.

Guards burst in the room with tasers armed. Quint storms into the room and says "That's it. I am cutting your time. It hasn't been 5 minutes and she's already out of control! Take her back to her cell!!"

The guards grab Delia by her arms and escort her out of the room. Before she leaves, she looks back at Akahito. With a smirk on her face, she says "Good to see you again. Maybe we can meet up and have a drink soon".

Akahito watches with suspicion as she is escorted back to her cell.

"Okay. She said no, so now you all better get out of my prison before you all start a riot" says Quint as he motions for everyone to leave the room.

Quint leads them back to the gate of the prison. Akahito abruptly stops and turns back to the prison. Quint snarls at him and says "Keep moving, you King's bit-".

Suddenly; Quint is interrupted by a loud radio call. Quint reaches towards his belt and unclips a small radio. Before he can say a word, alarms and lights start blaring all around the prison. The radio starts blaring as well; saying "Prisoners 274 and 115 have escaped!! I repeat!! Prisoners 274 and-...no!! No!! Please!! Ahhhghh-".

It cuts to static. Quint stares at his radio in disbelief, and then he glares with hatred at Akahito. "You!!" He exclaims, "It was your doing!!! If you hadn't shown up, none of this would have happened!!!"

Akahito takes a step forward to Quint and softly says "I had no part in this, but if you wish to fight, my friends here will be more than glad to".

Quint quickly looks at Evander as he cracks his knuckles. Sweat starts to pour down Quint's face as he looks back and forth between his radio and the Guardsmen in front of him. Quint puts his radio to his face and yells "Alpha squadron! Follow them! Make sure they do not escape!! I am sending the Guardsmen your way!".

"Roger, warden. We are in pursuit now. They are headed to facility J! Move move move!" Replies a guard on the radio.

Quint puts down his radio and glares at Akahito. "Follow me. I'll set you on the path to facility J". Quint speedily leads everyone through the prison.

"What's facility J?" Says Eden.

Quint sharply replies "It's an old abandoned recreational area that caught fire years ago".

Eden puffs her cheeks, and then loudly says "Then since you don't use it, why is it J and not Z?"

Quint turns to her and yells "Now is not the time!!!".

Eden snickers from behind everyone. They all reach an exit ladder at the end of the hall.

"This is the quickest way to facility J. Just follow down the path. You can't miss it" says Quint. He pulls his radio to his mouth again and yells "Alpha squadron, status report". Nothing but static. "Alpha Squadron, status report!" He yells again. Only static. Quint returns a look of worry to Akahito.
