Chapter 25: Futile Resistance

Everyone rushes onto the field. Seamus is the first to reach Zuni. He gently holds her head as tears fall down his face. Evander runs as fast as he can to Seamus.

"Stay away! It is your fault for even showing up in the first place!" Seamus snaps at Evander.

"Shut up! I can save her!" Evander snaps back.

Seamus' eyes widen as he quickly hands his wife's corpse to Evander.

"Andrus, Eden, Delia! I need you three to keep Acacius distracted while I work. The rest of you, put your hands on my back and pour as much power to me as you can!" Evander yells aloud to everyone.

Eden turns to look at the demon. He stands there, menacingly. Chills shiver down Eden's spine.

"You promised me...you promised me that this wouldn't happen" she whispers to herself.

Delia places her hand on Eden's shoulder and says "It will be okay. We will save the boss and give him a beating of our own"

Kokuro asks Maya "What do we do?? How do we stop the spirit??"

Maya looks at him, worry coming across her face. "I don't know..." she says to him.

Kokuro looks over his shoulder at Dabria who still stands in place. Andrus walks past Eden and Delia, cracking his knuckles. Dabria roars in the air and holds his head as if he had a migraine.

"Stay away!" Acacius's voice screams.

Dabria snaps his head back up. "Die!" He roars at Andrus.

Andrus dashes forward, drawing out two of his scythes. Dabria appears in front of Andrus, bloodlust radiating from all around him. Andrus swings his weapon over and over. Each time, Dabria evades it. Andrus clicks together two of the scythes and hurls it at Dabria. He jumps over the flying weapon and dashes straight for Andrus. With incredible speed, he appears in front of Andrus, his fist already reared back. Andrus quickly brings up his arm to block, but the punch breaks Andrus's arm and sends him skidding back. He stands back up and reaches for another scythe, but Dabria appears at Andrus's feet. Andrus looks down, his leg about to move to kick when Dabria immediately vanishes. Before Andrus can look back up, Dabria appears above Andrus with both hands clenched together. With one swift movement, Dabria swings his hands downwards onto the top of Andrus's head. Andrus collapses to the ground unconscious. Delia glances at Eden, who is still shaking, then back at Dabria.

"I'll handle this," says Delia.

She begins to walk forward, emanating her purple willpower. A large purple cloud manifests beside Delia. All the clones slowly walk out of it and stand next to Delia.

Dabria chuckles and says, "I guess you're next in line"

Delia and the clones suddenly vanish. Rage appears behind Dabria with a needle in her hand. Dabria quickly turns around and catches Rage by her neck.

"Impossible..." Rage groans in a hoarse voice.

He snickers and slams her into the ground; splitting her skull open upon impact. Immediately after, Insanity rushes behind Dabria, needle. Dabria quickly drives his elbow behind him; slamming it in the center of Insanity's face. The sound of Insanity's skull cracking fills the air as her twitching body plops onto the ground. Dabria looks at Eden and dashes at her. Fear completely engulfs her as she freezes in place. Suddenly, Shyness and Greed appear in front of Dabria. Before they can do anything, Dabria swings his arm to the side. In his hand, a small flame sword manifests. Both Shyness and Greed cough up blood as their lower halves fall to the ground. Dabria continues his charge past them. Harmony appears in front of Dabria while Happiness attacks from behind. Harmony swings her foot and tries to kick Dabria, but he catches her foot. Dabria quickly tightens his grip and spins; slamming Harmony into Happiness. The two roll on the ground. Before they can get up, Dabria flicks his wrist upwards, and more bone spikes impale them from the ground. He looks at Eden and continues walking towards her. Suddenly, Delia appears in front of Dabria and throws a punch. He catches her fist with ease and twists her arm behind her back. Dabria chuckles as he snaps Delia's arm in half. She screams in pain. He tosses her onto the ground and continues walking forward. Before he can get any closer, Delia grabs the horn of the mask and roars as she slams Dabria face-first into the ground. The horn snaps off into her hands. Delia glances at Eden, then her eyes suddenly widen as she begins to gasp for air.
