Ye Zhizhou stood in a dark place, looking around vacantly.

Where is he?

He reached out, but only felt the empty darkness around him.

The darkness ripped apart, light reappeared, and a warm golden light encompassed his body. A light screen with rows full of exclamation marks suddenly popped up in front of him. The corner of his lips couldn't help perking up and he weakly poked the light screen a few times. Then, he relaxed and buried himself deeper in the soft fur. He embraced the fluffy tail wrapped around him and nuzzled it with a smile, "Ji Huaijin."

The beast face with a continuously shining mark on his forehead extended his head toward him, the red gaze was gentle and full of concern. Licking him with his tongue, a clear and cold voice sounded in his ear, "It's all right now, I'll protect you."

"I know." He reached up to touch the beast's face and then let himself fall into darkness again, "I know you will always be there."

In the center of the broken forbidden array, a giant white-furred beast carefully guarded a black-haired boy under his body. Suddenly, a golden light erupted from the mark on the beast's forehead. His fur rustled although there was no wind. A huge wave of energy swept everything away, shaking the stone tablets in the forbidden array to the point of almost collapsing. A hoarse miserable howl sounded within the forbidden array but was very quickly suppressed by an invisible power.
