About a quarter of an hour later, Zhong Min's breakdown finally eased little by little. Her crying became weaker, leaving only her sobs, but she stayed in Si Yue's arms, not willing to lift up her head.
Ye Zhizhou gently released soothing waves of spiritual energy to comfort her little by little. Thinking over it for a while, he said, "Auntie, what do you want to know? I will tell you."
"No, not auntie." Zhong Min finally lifted her head from Siyue's arms. Her red eyes looked like it would be filled with more tears at any moment. Her hand stretched out to pull on Ye Zhizhou's sleeve. "You are my child, you are not allowed to call me auntie. I am your mother."
"But..." Ye Zhizhou looked at Si Yue, and when he got his nod, he changed his way of calling her again. He held onto Zhong Min's hand that was pulling on his sleeve and wrapped his voice in a calming energy as he said, "Mom, would you like to know about what happened to my parents? I'll tell you little by little."
Probably because the calming spiritual energy began to take effect, Zhong Min gradually calmed down. She sat away from Si Yue and cleaned the tear streaks from her face, wiping away the traces of sadness. She took the information on the table and turned the pages over. She assumed her usual gentle and tender temperament, and addressed him seriously. "You talk, I'll listen."
Ye Zhizhou got up and poured her another cup of tea, putting in an Anshen Pill on the sly, sorted out his train of thoughts, and recounted bit by bit. He told her everything without concealing anything, from the beginning when he found out about his real identity, to the end when they found Si Han's body in the barren mountain. Whenever there was a gap in his account, Si Yue would make a timely addition, and also adding in tellings of Si Youqian's misconduct in their family's company.
"It's ridiculous." The teacup in her hand was already empty. What she was told were all obviously very unbelievable and shocking, but, Zhong Min actually felt that she was even calmer than before, and even had a numb feeling of "So it was like this."
"My marriage really is a big joke."
The reassuring happiness she lived in for so many years turned out to be all fake. She blamed herself for being too stupid, repeatedly burdening her children, even letting them harm Xiao Han... She put down the teacup, blinked away her tears and raised a hand to stroke Ye Zhizhou's cheeks. Her tone conveyed her guilt and sorrow. "Xiao Bao is the name that my little sister gave you, right? It's a name someone as silly as her would come up with.... Xiao Bao, Mom is very sorry to you, please don't blame mom... "
"Mom, what are you talking about? I have never blamed you." Ye Zhizhou tilted his head and he make small circles on her hand gently., He thought of the original plot, where Qin Bao was more important than anything else to his mother Zhong Min, and his heart felt worse and worse. Once they got such a gentle mother like her, who would even be able to leave her side?
"You are a good child." Zhong Min forced herself to smile and looked at Si Yue. "Xiao Yue, this time it was hard on you... Where is Xiao Han now, I want to see him."
Si Yue clenched his fist for a moment and nodded. "Okay, I'll take you there tomorrow."
No one slept well that night. Ye Zhizhou sneaked out of his room in the middle of the night. He went to Zhong Min's room door and used his spiritual strength to help appease her mood all night. The other person woke up several times and cried quietly for a long time. The more he listened , the more he wanted to hack Si Youqian into pieces.
The next day, Zhong Min got up early and deliberately dressed up. Her long-shoulder length hair was let down. Her elegant long skirt was replaced with a retro and beautiful mid-skirt. Her lipstick was carefully put on. Her appearance looked like she came from the older era. The slightest expression on her face was as beautiful as a painting.
