Dear (y/n) (l/n) already has troubles as a demon/human hybrid. But having a step-brother that harbors a cursed king, is definitely something she didn't sign up for.
Things were only getting worse with the tree spirit. Toge was at his limit. Kamo was unconscious. It was only when Megumi and Maki used their cursed tools, tools imbued with curses, to force it back near a river where they actually got the upper hand. But even that was short lived as they pressed on.
After his wolf failed to cut its arm off, Megumi switched weapons with Maki to do a frontal assault on the curse. Switching back as it's eye hole branch fell off.
Megumi:"Please don't make me use the three-section staff again! It's too hard to use!"
Maki:"It's handy once you get used—"
Maki's eyes widened as these small branches with mouths on them sprouted out of Megumi, causing him to cough up blood. The same would've happened to her if she didn't evade Hanami's branch with her shoulder and shoved it away with the staff.
Hanami:"My strike was aimed for your heart. What a wonderful reaction. Jujutsu sorcerers are extraordinarily compassionate, an opening is always created when their ally is injured"
The beast wolf charged to slash at Hanami, only to disperse due to Megumi's release.
Hanami:"You shouldn't use curse techniques anymore. The bud embedded in you loves cursed energy. The more you use your techniques, the deeper it's roots will extend into your body"
Megumi:"How kind of you to warn me. You're probably gonna kill us anyway, though"
Hanami:"Apparently it works faster when I explain it"
For a second attempt, Maki ran and wailed at Hanami with the staff. Grunting when it sidestepped each strike. Punching, and lifting her up, as one of its twigs wrapped around her neck.
Hanami:"You move well. But your missing the edge you had earlier"
Despite the weeds in his stomach, Megumi slowly lifted his arms to summon his wolf again. To wring out the curse energy. Even if it tears open. Because he wasn't like anyone else, he chooses who he wants to protect. Therefore he's not allowed to fall before anyone.
Maki:"Megumi, stop!"
Megumi:"Huh?"
Maki:"*smile* Our job is done. It's time to tag out"
Hanami's grip on her was obliterated, as the dynamic trio came crashing in between them. With Todo cradling Maki in his arms, and (Y/n)'s leg being caught and twisted by the former. Mixing water droplets with blood.

Unbothered, she sliced Hanami's chest. Kicking off, as she landed and rearranged her leg back to its original place.
Todo:"*smile* You good to go, my friend and Imoto?"
(Y/n), Yuji:"Yeah!"
Megumi:"Stop (Y/n) and Itadori! That's not something we can hand—"
Megumi coughed up a little more blood as the branches inside were slowly taking their toll on him. Just then, Panda walked up beside him and took Maki out of Todo's hands.
