Autumn, 1937

"I'm telling you now, he is going to try and sleep with me!"

It was late, that bone chilling Autumn breeze had returned to Brooklyn and good news was in the air.

"You give yourself an awful lot of credit darling, I'm sure he won't attempt anything.."

They were sat on a dim lit park bench as she excitedly ranted about her news to Bucky.

"I heard he sleeps with everyone, but thats just Howard for you.."

Recently, her career prays had been answered. Sofia was invited to work with Howard Stark, the greatest inventor of this century. she was beyond excited, really this was a huge step in the right direction. Bucky was trilled for her, all he wanted was to see her this happy everyday.

"I'm delighted for you darling and I'm very proud" He said, smiling as he placed a quick kiss on her forehead.

"Thank you.."

She was so happy, nothing could wipe the glowing smile off of her face.

"Celebration is in order, I think anyway. I have champaign back at my place, let's go."

He stood up before her, taking her hand to pull her off of the bench. She grabbed his arm, holding it tightly with two hands. Their laughter could be heard all over the city. They truly could be described as the picture for love.

Bucky shoved the key of his little apartment it the lock, twisting it to allow him inside. He went to the kitchen, grabbing two glasses and the bottle of champaign. Sofia was already sat on the pull out sofa, sofa by day and Bucky's bed by night. She couldn't complain, his place was a vast improvement from hers.

Buck sat beside her, popping the bottle and pouring her a drink.

"A toast, to my amazing genius girl on her new job!" He said, raising his glass.

She picked up her glass, clicking it against his. They sat and drank, joking around for hours before Sofia thought it was the right time to go home.

"I should probably-"

She attempted to stand, only being brought back down by her boyfriend. She plopped back on the sofa, giving Bucky a confused look before he started to explain himself.

"I don't want you to go home.." He said, placing his glass on the little coffee table. By his tone she expected that he was going to talk to her about something serious.

"Is everything alright, Buck?"

She was slightly concerned, he was never this serious unless it was very important.

"I want this to be your home.."

He seemed nervous to ask, like there was ever a thought in her mind that would make her say no.

"I would like that very much.."

Bucky left out a breath of relief, thank god she agreed, things would be perfect.

"You can grab on on my shirts, tomorrow we can clear your apartment out together.."

Bucky called, he was in his little closet searching for something clean that Sofia could wear for her stay. In the end, he threw her a light blue button up for the night. She changed in the bathroom, allowing him to get things outside organised and climb into bed.

She walked out of the bathroom, neatly folding her belongings. Whilst tidying her clothes away, she felt someone come up behind her and lift her in the air. She let out a giggle, Bucky knew he was messing like a school boy now.

"Stop it! I'm trying to keep your place looking good!" She laughed as he tiggled her in the air.

"Ah, its our place now.." He said, allowing her to put her feet back on the ground and turning her to face him.

"You look amazing in my clothes, you should wear them more often.." He said, not allowing his eyes to leave her lips.

"If you want to kiss me you don't have to ask, because you always seem to-"

He cut her off by doing what she told him to, slowly lifting her up, lips still locked together. He slowly lay her on the bed, not letting the kiss break. A night of fun thanks to a new job and a new home, the pair fell asleep in each others arms, how they would fall asleep for many more nights to follow.

The morning arrived and the smell of breakfast is what finally allowed Sofia to wake. She sat up, rubbing here eyes slightly and saw Bucky in the other room, singing away to himself.

"You know, you could get paid for having a voice like that.."

His back was turned to her, the sound of her voice alerting him she was awake. He left his post in the kitchen, arriving over to give her a good morning kiss.

"Thats gonna burn.." She mumbled, lips still attached to his.

"Good morning.." He smiled.

"Good morning too love.."

He finally decided that he could last being in a different room than her for a few minutes. He severed breakfast and set the table in a lovely display for his girl to eat her meal.

"Come on, I'm finished in here.."

Bucky's call for her to have breakfast was what got her out of bed and she took her seat at the well set table.

"All this, for me?" She laughed as she was served her breakfast.

"Well when you love someone as much as I love you, its hard not to spoil her.." He laughed back.

"I love you too Barnes.."

It's quiet mornings in that would become a favourite for the pair, not that there was any bad part when they spent time together, days always went by like a dream. Today, they would get to take the next step in what should have been a long life together.
