They fell asleep in each others tearful arms.
It was a hard thing to do, for Bucky. He was telling the person he loved most in the world all of the awful things he had done.
She however chose not to hold it against him.
She knew science, well the science of back in her day. Therefore she knew he wasn't in control of himself when everything occurred. He wasn't in the drivers seat.
Still they feel asleep, her in a strange new world, him just happy for her to be there.
She didn't know anything about this world, bar a few things. One, it was very modern, futuristic. Two, Bucky and Steve were miraculously there. Three, Howard was gone.
So when she woke up before Bucky that day, she gently moved out of his arms to get up and see out the window. When she looked out, she noticed the heights of the building around her. Then the streets, filled with people and yellow cars.
New York is a lot different than she remembered.
The next thing she noticed was the clothes she was wearing. They weren't hers, she doesn't even know where her clothes are but there decades old, probably not in style.
She had a grey hoodie that definitely too big for her, sweatpants that bagged on her. He was a lot taller than her anyway so that made sense. She was bare foot, feeling the cold of the hardwood floors beneath her feet.
She however decided to focus on the new view of her home city, not all the issues that she would have to deal with the issues that would arise once she turned her eyes away.
She did hear a noise from behind her that came from the bed, not thinking too much of it, until she heard a sleepy voice.
"Sofia?" He groaned, sitting up in the bed.
"Hmm?" She mumbled, still taking in the view.
Once he finished rubbing his eyes to see clear, he noticing where she was stood. He totally forgot what a complete shock the modern day brings to someone who's never seen it before.
"Are you alright?" He asked, climbing out of the bed to approach her from behind.
"I'm okay, I'm alright. It's strange though.." She smiled, allowing Bucky to hold her from behind.
"Well I don't live here alone, there's a team of people outside. And I think they would want to meet my favorite person.." He smiled.
"A team?" She confusedly giggled, turning around in Bucky's hold to see his face.
"Well they sort of save the world, it's their job.." He smiled, placing a small kiss on her forehead.
What he had failed to mention was her inhuman abilities, she would become fascinated by it at a later date.
But he did make an attempt to find her some clothes that were clean for her. She think that's when he realized his entire wardrobe was comfy clothes, he should probably get something to wear that's not a hoodie.
Bucky's then genius idea was to go to the lost and found box that Tony's set up, for after his hook ups, and dig her out something reasonable.
