Burgundy's POV:
He blinked at me. "Pardon?" He asked, curious. I swallowed heavily. "I have a confession. The only reason I was even here in the first place was because I am a vampire assassin. I will admit it. I kill your kind for a living." He blinked again. "If it makes you feel any better," I said wearily, "I only kill the leaders, the ones who purposefully kill our kind." He half-smiled at me. "My family hasn't been in a vampire clan in years. They have a nest, where most of the vampires live." He looked thoughtful as I drank this new information in. "Actually, that's probably why your werewolf leaders brought you here. Close, but just far enough away." I raised an eyebrow. "Dallas, Texas is where the nest is. And, I know, the whole, 'vampires can't go out in the sunlight.' thing is a myth. We can go out in the sun. The only thing that kills us is a stake to the heart."
"So you don't have a problem with me being a killer of your kind?" I asked. He laughed, "No. We haven't been apart of that for years. Right after I was born, my parents dragged me and my twin sister here to settle down, away from the nest. They didn't want us to grow up in that kind of society." I smiled gently. "Well I'm glad."

Adam's POV:
After we arrived back at Burgundy's dorm, Nellie and Max gaped at us, then tackled Burgundy. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN YOU ASSHAT?" and "WE FRICKING MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" echoed throughout the room. Burgundy was trying to keep it together as she told the story, cross-legged on the floor. Maxine "ooh"ed and "oh my"ed in the right places; but it was comical because Nellie, bless her soul, kept exploding choice words out of her mouth.
"oh shit!" and "daym gurl give it to 'em." and "go all kung foo on his ass!"
Burgundy is quite the storyteller.
When she finished, Nellie got up, pacing, having some things to clear up. "Hold the bitch ass phone up for a second. Adam, you're a vampire." I nodded and Burgundy said, "They were kinda excommunicated, Nel." Nellie went on, "and you and Parker are no more?" Burgundy nodded. She sat back down. "Well shiiiittt."

I had somehow convinced Burgundy to sleep back at my place in case she had some PTSD. As I held her close to me in my bed, she sighed happily. I glanced down at her in my shirt, big on her. She stared up into my eyes as I got lost in her stormy depths. She smiled, and said, "So...are we dating now? Because, if we are not, then I seriously need to know."
I laughed, deep peals of it coming out of my mouth. She gave me an annoyed look as I turned on my back and pulled her up on top of my naked chest. "Abso-fucking-lutely." Then, I kissed her smiling mouth.
