Burgundy's POV:
Images swirled in my brain. Parker, Adam, Maxine, Nellie; they all invaded my memory and stuck there, behind my eyelids. It was so painful; my body felt like it was on fire. I had no energy to move, or to even breathe. I felt a hand brush my arm and the temperature went up even higher. I screamed in pain, and the arm was snatched away. I breathed a sigh of relief.
I was shivering. Someone eventually draped a thin blanket over me and threw a chunk of French bread at me. I almost threw up when I inhaled the sweet stench of the bread. Shoving it away from me, I then curled into a ball on the hard floor.

Parker's POV:
I was playing a game of pickup basketball when it happened. My wolf started to howl inside of me and itched to phase. The human part of me was freaking out, wondering what was happening. My wolf growled at me, She's gone into heat, you asshole. We have to find her.
Then he forced my phase.
He ran off into the woods, following his internal compass that led the way to my sweet, sweet mate.
