I came to New York with my parents when I was 10. Sadly they didn't make the trip and most likely died from a disease. I have dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, light brown skin, I'm very short about 5'2.
I was alone in New York, just me and the big city. I quickly learned how to steal food, which then led me to be caught by the police and put in an orphanage. With a bitchy caretaker Ms.Jasmen. She was the worst.
But one night, I met Jack Kelly. He broke me out from the orphanage. He took me in and treated me like his little sister. I met the Manhattan Newsies and became a girl Newsie. Jack taught me how to sell papes and kick butt. Youse don't wanna mess with me. I'm pretty much a regular 14 year old girl Newsie, trying to make a living in New York.
