I woke up early, got out of the tent and started walking by the river, I took a deep breath and felt the brisk forest air fill my lungs, I looked up at the birds in the long trees and wondered how I lived without these before, I smiled, danced cheerfully, and I felt the presence of someone, I turned around and saw Ethan leaning on a tree.
-oh I'm sorry am I interrupting sometimes? He said in that teasing voice and big smile
- shut up. I said embarrassed.
He laughed and we went for a hunt, we ate and sat down near the lake as usual.
As I was taking, Ethan put his index on my lips, and looked around nervously.
- grab the bow and arrows and climb a tree fast, try to cover me, go now.
I listened and ran away as fast as possible, I sat down on a branch and looked down at him, he was holding a sword we crafted a day ago, held it up and steady ready to attack, he looked at me with fear, like he was saying goodbye. I looked back at him like I was telling him that I wouldn't let him die, and while I was drowning in his pretty eyes, an animal came out of the bushes, it jumped high enough to knock him down, I panicked and shot an arrow at the beast, it was bleeding out but it didn't let go of him, ethan screamed in pain while the beast bit his shoulder, he was hitting it with his sword, but it let go of him, so I got of the tree as fast as I could, took the sword and cut of it's head, blood was flooding everywhere, but at least Ethan was alright. I grabbed him and got him in the tent and layed him on the bed, just like he did the first day we met, I didn't know what to say, I just tried to stop the bleeding. I couldn't look him in the eyes because it's what got me to loose focus in the first place, not long after I started crying, he was fine, but the thought of loosing him, troubled me deeply, he noticed that, grabbed my hand, and smiled, "you saved my life princess". I smiled in tears, and drowned back into his soul, he wiped the tears of my face and hugged me. I got up and smiled at him one last time before getting out of the tent to sit down by the lake.
