Chapter 9

I started working on the AI and crossed eyes with Ethan that was laying on the bed eating nuts:
- Ethan! Can't you help me a little?!
- I came here when I was 10 remember? I didn't learn anything about those stuff.
- Well go get food then!
- I'm injured.
- Get up!
- Okay okay boss calm down! He said with his mouth full.
We both laughed as he walked out, and I focused on the AI again.
For a week this was our daily routine, we both wanted to get back home and we worked hard for it, I worked on the AI while Ethan gathered up supplies and helped build the machine of communication we were doing. And after seven days of hardwork, I stood up in silence, and said :"it's done", Ethan looked up at me, smiled got up, ran to me screaming, hugged me and carried me, we laughed and teared up.
- wait we still have to test it princess.
- the honor is yours.
He laughed and pressed on a little wooden button and said " this is Ethan earthspherer 406 and Zad earthspherer 411 do you read me, I repeat, do you read me?". No response, he tried again, "this is Ethan earthspherer 406 and Zad earthspherer 411 do you read me, I repeat, do you read me?", he breathed loudly, teared up again, and screamed of anger, I grabbed his hand :"calm down it's okay." he hugged me and cried, I felt his tears on my shoulder, I felt his pain in my bones, at this exact moment I hated hope, and I hated myself for giving him false hope.
That night, he got in bed without saying a word, he was so angry that he didn't even eat, and he just layed there with eyes wide open, and tears on his cheek, I didn't know what to say, so I just layed in bed too.
"this is leya earthspherer 317 do you read me Ethan earthspherer 406 and Zad earthspherer 411". We both jumped out of bed, runned to the machine, "yes yes we're here."
- I'm sorry we took so long to answer we had technical problems. Is dimension 1 survivable?
- yes but dangerous creatures live here and we are both a little injured. Can you send anyone to help us?
- yes but you have to go to the place you first arrived.
- okay but that's a 4 day walk.
-no problem.
We explained when did ethan get here, I explained what happened to the AI, and how we survived.
When we got to bed, Ethan smiled at me and said "I'm proud of you princess". I smiled back and closed my eyes, instantly falling asleep...
