Chapter 8: Blue Blossom Boutique

They said that when the cat was missing, the mouse was playing around.

And for the new duchess of the massive estate of the Duke of Kargaz of the North, who has been tasked to watch over the entire estate in the temporary absence of the duke, surely the duchess has been performing in contrast of it for the past few days since the duke left for who knows where.

Four days had already passed since Duke Calex has left. Since then, Atallie has been cooped up in her temporary room adjacent to her actual room which was currently still being renovated. She has been staying inside without even stepping out of the door. Even her meals were being delivered in the room. Atallie didn't even bother to get out to dine in the dining hall.

Because of this, the head maid Leonor was in complete lost about the stillness and quietness of the duchess.

The duchess didn't even ask Leonor about the whereabouts of the duke, but instead, the duchess just keep on asking for some leisure books like novels and geographical books. And this sort of scenario was totally out of Leonor's expectations towards the duchess.

I didn't know that she was this kind of person...

I thought she was a serious person with no time for leisure reading some romance and fantasy novels.

Too bad, I was wrong.

On the fifth day, when the the weather was gloomy with the gray clouds scattered in the sky and the land was being drizzled by the morning rain, the duchess, Atallie, finally decided to get out of her room.

Atallie has let Leonor to prepare her breakfast in the dining hall just below the floor where her current room was located and so it was done.

Leonor, together with the four personal maidservants of the duchess was also in the dining hall to tend to Atallie.

When the duchess was finally done with her meal, Leonor and the four maidservants accompanied her back to her room.

But just before they could leave the duchess to enjoy her leisure time with a new novel that has been delivered yesterday, the duchess turned towards them.

"What is the current buzz down the city nowadays?" Atallie asked our of the blue.

Leonor was taken aback, but with her usual demeanor as the head maid of the massive estate of the Duke of Kargaz, she opened her mouth and answered, "To answer Madame, a new shop has been opened a couple of days ago."

"A new shop?"

"Yes, Madame. Particularly, it was a boutique. Although it has just been opened in Dojah City just a few days ago, the boutique has different branches across the kingdom. It is highly popular and most famous in the Royal City."

"Oh, really? Would you mind to tell me more about it as I enjoyed a cup of tea?" Atallie asked as she took a seat near the windows.

It seemed to be that the boutique has hooked her attention.

"Certainly, Madame," answered Leonor.

With just a glance from Leonor, the four maidservants hurried to prepare the tea for Atallie.

"What's the name of the boutique?" asked Atallie as she gazed on the outside.

"Madame, the boutique has an impressive and beautiful name, maybe it was also one of the reasons why it has been famous in the entire kingdom. It is called the Blue Blossom Boutique," said Leonor.

"What a beautiful name, indeed."

"But what made it famous, Madame, was its unique, creative and magnificent designs of both dresses for women and outfits for men."
