Chapter 67

changbin woke up from his nap after class to felix sitting next to him, tugging on his arm. he stirred and opened his eyes slowly, trying to figure out what was going on.

felix whined and tugged on his shirt again.

"dada."

changbin hummed softly, rubbing his eye as he looked up at felix, smiling slightly.

"yes baby?" he mumbled sleepily.

"i hungry n dada needs to wake up now."

changbin looked up at the clock and nodded, sitting himself up, he had been asleep for a few hours and it was around the time they would usually eat.

"is my baby little?"

felix nodded and crawled closer, able to hug onto his caregiver. changbin smiled and pulled felix over on top of him, attacking his cheeks in kisses as felix squealed and giggled, wriggling in his arms as it tickled.

"is there a reason my prince slipped?"

"was watchin cartoons downstairs."

changbin nodded and kissed his cheek a few more times before getting up out of bed and helping felix out too.

felix pulled changbin out of bed and tugged on his arm to go downstairs, getting impatient.

"i'm coming baby, slow down."

changbin rubbed is eyes and yawned as he walked out of their room, heading downstairs with felix, he held his hand as they got to the living room where minho was sat with jisung on his lap and seungmin was curled up under a blanket on the couch, his head on hyunjin's thigh and jeongin was sat on the other couch with chan, all of them watching the tv.

changbin smiled.

"can you sit with jisung while i go find something for you to eat?"

"pizza?"

changbin laughed as three other heads spun in his direction, realising felix hadn't slipped alone and he would now have to make order pizza for four littles instead of just felix.

"okay, pizza it is then."

changbin walked towards the kitchen after felix sat down on the couch, smiling a little to see jae in the kitchen on his phone.

"hey, where were you in school today?"

"i was in class, i just wasn't sure where to go at lunch so i was in an empty classroom."

"alone? why didn't you text us? you could've stayed with us."

"i don't know, i assumed you wanted to stay with your friend group."

"jae, you're part of our friend group."

jae shrugged a little, truthfully, being around the group just reminded him of lucas, they all had their lovers with them. his eyes started to fill with tears and he lowered his head a little, hoping changbin wouldn't see.

changbin did see and took jae's arm, pulling him up and hugging him gently.

"i'm sorry."

jae felt his tears start falling as he hugged changbin back, it still hurt so much to think of lucas, he wanted his boyfriend back, he missed him so much, he knew lucas would've loved to live in a nice house like this, he would've loved to go to paris too.

"i want him back."

changbin felt awful for him, he didn't even know what to say, jae sounded so sad and hurt, his voice was wavering as tears ran down his cheeks. changbin just rubbed his back, trying to be soothing and comforting.

"dada?"

changbin looked up seeing felix in the doorway, tilting his head at them, he had a concerned look on his face as jae cried, unable to stop now it started.

"hey baby, can you go back to the living room for a minute?"

felix whined and came closer, pouting softly as he tapped jae's shoulder.

"sorry lix." jae mumbled, wiping his eyes and trying to smile so felix didn't worry so much.

felix knew there was something wrong, but he didn't know what to say to make it better, he thought for a second before holding up his stuffed rabbit, giving it to jae.

jae took it, unable to help but smile at felix's little gesture.

"bunny's good at makin me not sad."

changbin felt his heart melt a little as he watched felix.

felix came a little closer, carefully hugging jae, smiling when jae hugged him back.

"thank you felix, i feel a little better already."

felix nodded as he hugged jae, feeling proud of himself now he helped a little bit.

"bunny have a sleepover tonight otay?"

"you want bunny to stay with jae tonight?"

felix nodded quickly, pulling away from the hug and staying close to jae's side. jae smiled more, holding the bunny and looking at felix.

"i think i'll feel a lot better."

of course jae was still hurting, but it felt better to know people cared about him, and felix was too sweet and warm hearted to stay sad, he tried to calm himself down, focusing on something else.

"wanna color with me hyungie?" felix gave him a big smile, tugging on jae's arm.

changbin smiled more, finding him so cute.

"sure, i'll color with you." jae replied softly, wiping away his tears as felix pulled him to the living room.

changbin watched them leave, he felt proud of felix for making an effort to make jae feel better, even thought he didn't fully understand why jae was upset, he wanted his friend to be happy and it was cute.

changbin went back to what he was doing before, grabbing his phone and calling the pizza place, ordering their food before hanging up, going through to the living room to join the others.
