"Hey Margo."

1.5k words

Happiness was practically oozing out of Margo's pores as she skipped down the hallway. Laughing wildly at one of Juliette's jokes. The action sending strange looks from a few third years who were exiting potions.
But Margo couldn't give a flying fuck, not when life was so bright.

The day had been amazing.

So amazing in fact that Margo was waiting for the Bazinga!! Or Sike!! But so far it hadn't arrived, she was relishing in the feeling.

Margo was on her way to potions, skipping unapologetically as she did so. This was a strange affair as usually the word 'potions' would fill her with dread and the epitome of worry, but for once Margo could not wait a second later to arrive in Snapes dark, dinghy dungeon.

Approaching the door, Margo and Juliette were disturbed by the shout of Juliette's name further down the corridor.

"Juliette! Ugh, Juliette!!"

"Angelica?" Juliette spoke, the pair watched as Angelica speed walked down the hall, fists clenched, looking around her glaring. As if she did not want to be seen communicating with such... lowlifes.

"Did you get moms letter?" Demanded Angelica, finally arriving where the two girls were standing. That's when Margo remembered, Juliette and Angelica were sisters. She had completely forgot. They certainly didn't act like siblings, Margo was sure they had not spoken once since the day of their arrival two weeks ago.

But Margo couldn't judge, she hadn't spoken to her brother in about a month, not since she stormed out of the hospital room in anger; due to his manipulative behaviour towards her. Neither had approached each other, both to stubborn for a grown up discussion about the tension that had been growing between them since first year. The way it had finally exploded in their faces.

They made eye contact now and again, but one of them wouldn't let it hold for to long, forcing their heads away quickly. It wasn't even noticeable that Margo and Felix were twins, Margo wasn't even sure Juliette was aware she had a brother.

"No?" Juliette words caused Margo to jump out of her stressful, worrisome daydream. Today was supposed to be a good day, there was no need for family drama to lodge itself between the crevices of her brain.

"Well she said that her and dad are going to stay at Auntie Adeline's for Christmas, we're staying here."

Margo was sure that Angelica had absolutely no idea she was standing there, completely overlooking her. Which didn't really bother Margo that much, she wasn't really fond of Angelica that much either.

But she was Juliette's sister and Margo had become really good friends with Juliette the past few weeks, so she should at least make an effort, right?

"Hey Angelica, I'm loving the hair." She smiled, giving the girl nothing but a warm inviting expression. Angelica fluttered her eyes over to Margo, looking her up and down in a judgemental manor. Scoffing slightly as she caught sight of Margo's scuffed and unpolished school shoes.
