Chapter 13 (Leo POV)

Leo's POV

I couldn't help myself anymore. I felt something stronger for her everyday. I know she is mine, but I agree with my wolf as much as I don't want to. I have to wait for her to shift. Only then will it be 100% confirmed.
I had snuck into her room when Bethany went into the bathroom. I wanted to surprise Liana and I hid in the walk in closet. All I could smell was the sweet smell of orange and a hint of mint. It drove me crazy! I inhaled the smell and realised she was standing next to the doors. I grabbed her from her waist and put my other hand over her mouth. Making sure I could cover up her scream. I laughed and told her it was me. I wished her a happy birthday. She instantly relaxed, my wolf loved it. He was happy that she was happy in my hold.

That didn't last long... "What are you doing here? And how did you get in?!" she practically shouted it to me.
She was so cute when she was mad!

"I wanted to say Happy Birthday and don't you worry about that" I couldn't help but smirk, I loved to tease her.

"So why not use the front door or better yet send a card next time." She practically growled back to me, it hurt. She didn't want to see me. But why not. I have explained to her as much as I can. It wasn't my fault I had to leave. My dad ordered me to sort out the other pack. They were a disaster! I had to make friends with that slut to get close to her father. I shuddered at the thought of it. I looked back at Liana, who appeared to be staring into my eyes.

"I wanted to surprise you" I smiled and shrugged my shoulders to show I didn't care. She looked at me like i was crazy. She shot me a warning look "Bethany is in the bathroom and her overnight bag is behind you, she is going to want to come in here." She tried to push herself away from me. I tried to search her face for emotions. She looked like she was fighting an internal battle.
I listened and focuser my hearing to the bathroom, to hear where Bethany was. She was stepping into the shower and humming a tune. Just perfect, I can spend a little longer in here. "I think she will be a while." I held her closer and took in her scent again. She just makes me feel so relaxed. She gripped me closer and tiptoed so that our lips were nearly pressed together. I wanted this so badly! I tilted my head to meet hers. But instead of meeting me, she shook her head! I couldn't help a little growl escape from me. What on earth is she doing, she is seriously playing with me. "Move from me Leo" she sounded so unsure. So i heald my right arm around her waist, tighter.

"Don't tell me you don't feel this Liana. I can hear your heart racing." The tip of my nose moving from the soft spot behind my ear, slowly down her neck and to her shoulder then back up again. Making sure I went really slowly, making her inhale a sharp breath.

She kept squirming and tried to get away from me. But I just had this urge to keep her close.
But then of course she tried to open the doors and ruin the moment. I growled internally and rolled my eyes. I grabbed her waist and flipped her around so that we were now facing each other. I stared into her eyes and began to lean in slowly. Little did I know that she had a different plan. "This....can....not...happen" she said whilst she pushed the door open and we both fell out. I fell on top of her but held my hands out quickly to keep my weight off me. "Ouch!" I had my eyes closed as I rubbed the back of her. "You ok?" i asked scanning her face and eyes quickly. I hope I didn't hurt herrrrr....oowwwwwwww. She kicked me! Wtf?!?! Omg the pain! I growled. So glad the wolves heal quickly. I stood up and charged straight for her. What was she thinking?

"This is not going to work, stop trying!" she shouted at me, but quiet enough for Beth to not hear. I didn't care I kept walking towards her until her back was against the wall. I pinned my hands on the side of her, on the wall so she couldn't run. "I don't know why but I just have this feeling for you, a need to be with you, around you." I looked down when I said this before looking het in the eyes again. "But I must be wrong if you don't feel the same way." I had to almost strip myself away from her, as I walked a few steps away. I could feel her burning a hole into the back of me, with her eyes. I wish I new what she was thinking!

"Leo I- I'm going to shift later on today" she walked towards me slowly. "But if you weren't shifting today, does that mean you have feelings for me too?" it was killing be inside. How could she not know, why couldn't she just tell me how she felt? Her face began to fall, her eyes confused and forehead lines creasing together. She must have been thinking hard.

"I don't know Leo, I don't know how I feel any more." That's it I am out of here! I need to run and get this frustration out of me. My wolf was begging me to stay with her, but agreed that I need to breath. I left the same way I came in, just as Bethany came out the bathroom.
Just in time.

I ran towards the woods at the end of her garden, I stopped at the edge to take a glance back. I inhaled deeply to smell a hint of orange in the air, before taking a leap. I have been shifting for a long time now, so it is easier to shift in mid air. I landed on all fours and couldn't help but smirk. My wolf knew how strong we felt together. Time to run!
