Chapter 11

I woke up to a damp earth smell around me. My surrondings and dresser chair no longer feeling soft and warm, but hard and cold. I could hear someone saying something in the distance, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. I tried to open my eyes but they seemed to feel stiff and refused to open. I tried to move but my whole body felt like it was glued to the hard surface. Then it dawned on me... where the hell was i?

I felt a wave of energy in me as I shot up. I crazily looked around, I could see people but I couldn't make out who they where. I could hear voices but I couldn't hear what they were saying. I sniffed the air to find any familiar scents but all I could smell was the dirt surrounding me. I could feel my eyes slowly closing again, my eyes giving up as I tried to keep them open and then it was dark again. I couldn't feel my body, I couldn't move.

(Dream)

I could hear something. I could hear a faint sound of music in the background. I turned my head to find where it was coming from but only darkness surrounded me. I struggled to sit up slowly. My arms and legs feeling warm and a huge feeling of pins and needles flowing in and around my body making me feel slightly numb. "Hello Liana" I turned my head in the direction of the voice but the darkness still surrounded me. "I'm right here honey, you just need to close your eyes and really concentrate on my voice." The female voice sounding all around me, soft and gentle making me feel slightly comfortable. "Liana I am your wolf, you need to concentrate on me." I felt a wave of warmth fill me as she said she was my wolf. I relaxed a little. The fact I felt a bit crazy didn't matter at all because she was real, I was real... what did she want me to do again...? "Concentrate Liana before it's too late!"

I did what I was told and tried to concentrate on her voice, I tired really hard and I could hear that music in the back of my head, that tune, it was so familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. "That's it concentrate Liana" She sounded hopeful, like she was finally going to be set free after so long, I felt hope run through me, "you feel what I feel and I feel what you feel." Well of course that would make sense.

"This is going to hurt a bit, but trust me its only going to hurt for your first shift." I squeezed my eyes shut so hard that I began to see dots, dots that slowly began to turn in to a white and grey wolf's face. I tried to concentrate on the wolf's face and that's when I felt it.

(End dream)

I screamed out in pain as I felt something snap in my lower back, that was follwed by click... click.... Click.

"ahhhhhhhhh" I yelled out in pain as I could feel my bones snapping out and into a different position.

Click... click...click.... "ahhhhh" my body was in so much pain that It felt like I was burning. The ground feeling softer. The wind around me seeming stronger. Like it was trying to cool me down. I could hear someone's voice in the distance again. I tried to make out what they were saying. My ears clicking out and clicking in, to form a different shape... More pointed.

I could hear the person's voice so much clearer.

"Liana can you hear me?? Liana give me a sign" i didn't know who it was, it sounded like my mum. I wanted to tell her the pain I was in, tell her I could hear her. I tried to scream out a yes or something, but nothing came.

I collapsed to the ground and let out a small whimper. My vision slightly blurry like I had just woken up.

My skin felt like it had pins and needles, I could feel it spreading all over my body. My vision slowly becoming clearer, as I focused on my arm. Where it was tingly I could see little hairs growing grey, white and black. Fur! Fur, I was growing fur in a matter of seconds.

I could hear my mum again. "That's it sweetie, you shifted." She was sat in front of me, smiling.

"Well done Liana, you can sleep now, I will wake you in the morning." My wolfs words, the best she said so far to be honest. I was out cold before I could say wolf.
