ZOEY (will she make it?)

24 ( FINAL)

Silence crept into the sitting room.  What were they seeing ? They didn't want to believe Kate had a hand in this .

No ! They couldn't accept it .
They knew Kate was evil but they never thought she'll do such a thing .

Kate's eyes dilated in shock.  Different questions flashing through her mind . Why did the witch doctor show up ? At a time like this. 

She wished the ground could open up and swallow her.  She needed to escape from this mess . What will she tell her friends ? How will she explain things to them. 

They ain't gonna believe a thing she say to them .

She stared at the witch doctor and saw how angry she was . Her eyes turned to her friends and saw how surprised they were , unable to utter any word .

"K-ate ."Daryl called with a crumbled look on his face .

" You ... you had a hand in this .
  You planned this .
  You wanted Zoey dead .
  You tried bribing the witch doctor ... "

" No Daryl ... No ... No please .
  I don't know what the witch doctor is talking about.  You need to believe me . "Kate said and tried touching Daryl but he yanked her hands away immediately. 

His heart was racing .
He bit his lower lip and moved backward .

" You did this .
   How dare you Kate . " Lindy said . She wished she could just strangle Kate .

How could she ?!

Sofie moved forward towards Kate and stared at her , tears streaming down her cheeks .

Kate lowered her eyes and moved back,  away from Sofie . She knew Sofie wouldn't take it likely with her .
At a time like this .

" You'll pay for this !!! "She yelled and rushed towards Kate .

Before Kate could say a thing,  Sofie already landed two slaps on her cheeks . She placed her palm on her red cheeks and stared at Sofie . Her eyes had already heated up and tears would come rushing down anytime soon .

Kate moved her eyes to Andrain and he bit his lips ; pained .

"Get those evil eyes away from me ". He cursed and looked away .

Lee-chun was more than shocked.  How can a beautiful girl have such a dark soul . He didn't really know what to say to her. 

Meanwhile , when all this was happening,  unaware to them , the evil spirit disappeared and went back into Zoey's body and her body began to shake vigorously making them divert their gaze to her. 

"Quick ! We have no time. 
  We need to get the souls of her dead parents if you really want your friend to live .
  Go now ! All of you !
  Leave the building and wait outside . I'll make some incarnations and while this is happening , your prayers are needed . We can still save Zoey .
Go now ! Go !!! " The witch doctor ordered and they gathered all the strength they had left and rushed out of the house .

Andrain carried Emmy in his arm . She was still unconscious and she really needed to be taken to the hospital .

They left the house , Kate followed behind leaving Zoey and the witch doctor alone in the house . They did as the witch doctor had ordered and prayed , tears trailed down their cheeks .

Kate kept fondling with her nails and despite all was happening,  She still wished Zoey didn't make it.

She still wished to have Daryl and get her out of the way .
No ! All what she had worked for can't just go to waste .
Never !

The witch doctor knelt beside Zoey who was lying unconscious on the floor . The witch doctor called on the souls of the dead parents .

Screaming and calling on them , pictures and noises of how the girl had lost her parents came flashing through her mind . The girl's scream made Zoey forcefully open her eyes staring into space .

The sound of thunder filled the entire building.  A heavy storm came and the sounds of thunder increased . The witch doctor continued her incarnations .

"Aahhhhhh .... " Zoey screamed and the heavy sound of lightning burst through the glass window and striked Zoey's body .

The witch doctor forcefully opened her eyes and stared at Zoey's body . She quickly got on her feet , with eyes still fixed on Zoey . Opened the door and stepped out of the house , heading to were Daryl and his friends were waiting .

When they saw her approaching them , they rushed towards her with questioning eyes .

Why is she here and where's Zoey ??

"Where's Zoey ??
Is she okay ?? -
Hope nothing bad had happened to her ? -
Tell me , did she make it ? -" They asked at the same time .

" She's still in there . I don't know if she'll make it .
We need to stay right here and pray .
Pray for her life , pray she survives this .
I'm sure she'll make it.  "She said and they engaged in a serious prayer , shutting their eyes .

Kate just stood staring at them , watching them pray stupidly.

She found that stupid .

She rolled her eyes at them and walked towards the building.  She had one thing in mind - to kill Zoey ! She wanted to strangle her to death by herself .

Something in her guts still tells her Zoey is gonna make it and she can't let that happen .

She stepped into the building and just as she stepped into the building , an heavy lightning striked the building and it began to shake .

They stopped praying and stared at the building.  Fear filled them instantly.

What was happening? 

They began moving backward and stared at the building . Different sounds of thunder claps filled the compound and another lightning from the sky rushed towards the building and ...

" BOOM ". was the next thing they heard . The building bursted into flames , consuming everything.

"Zoey !!! " They called.
