Reki and Langa had decided to go to the race together like they always do, and while they were going there, Reki had nothing but adrenaline rushing through his body. It also just felt... right that night. The wind hitting his and Langa's face as they were going there on their motorcycle they rode on a lot to s with. Not to mention that it seemed to be particularly cloudy to Reki's luck, in fact it looked like it was perfect weather for a storm. He had some wireless earbuds in under his helmet while they were going there too, since it would make the ride there so much more better. The song he was listening to was "Are You Bored Yet?" By Wallows. He even hummed some of it too while going there while a smile stayed on his face.

(im sorry this part was so bad.... m 😭 also i know that wasn't how they traveled there... but i just had an idea..)

The moment they got there, Reki got off almost immediately and waited for Langa. They had their typical interaction for a bit, talking about a bunch of things. Most of it was just Reki's rambling, since he could talk his head off a lot. It didn't bother Langa however, he thought it was adorable. After all, he could never do that, which is probably something that added to why he was so awkward.

"Win this, okay Reki? You got this." Langa told him, smiling and giving him the sweet eyes.

"I will, Langa. I'll win it for you...." Reki responded. "and for the others, of course.." he added, practically whispering before smiling. It seemed like the two were just standing there, staring into each other's eyes and giving each other that look they always gave one another. The look with the sparkling eyes, and the smile. They couldn't take their eyes off each other. Reki stared into Langa's deep and blue icy eyes, thinking about snow and ice, and Langa stared into the others eyes and even though they were seeming amber, it's like he could see the bright light of the sun shining through it. Reki was Langa's sun, and Langa was Reki's snowflake. Reki had never actually seen snowflakes, but he pictured them being these pretty things that if they landed in your hands, they would be shiny and pretty. Sort of like... how Langa was to him. That's the same with Langa, Reki was his sunlight, something that he loved and practically needed in his life.

Them looking into each-other's eyes soon ended when it was time for Reki to race, this was the big time, his time to shine. Hell, his time to prove that he wasn't just a "nobody" that was by Langa. He was someone, in fact he was someone special that was going to blow their minds. Reki was going to show the audience who the true king was, and who the sun was.

The race had started, and of course, Reki had told him beforehand to start at the same time as him to avoid any shenanigans. After all, who knew what Adam would pull? The two raced for a while, with Reki getting hurt of course and proving his skills to the audience. He did various tricks, with him feeling the wind with everyone he did. However, most of the race, Reki had been thinking of Langa, and thinking of how Langa saw this every-time he skated. The audience was adoring Reki as he was doing everything however, despite the boy getting hurt multiple times by Adam. They had finally also realized how much of a dirty racer Adam was, despite him being the owner. Even though the course didn't have any rules, he was going too far. After all, this was a teenage boy, and the fact he was doing this was just to get Reki away from "his" Langa who is also a teenager. It's what made Reki mad, and what helped his everlasting desire to win this race.

However, Adam had started to pull ahead slowly, despite the tricks Reki was pulling. He felt pretty stupid, though he still had faith in the rain. Plus, there was still a long way until the course ended, and he could for sure pull something off. After all, Adam was only a small bit ahead of him.

After Reki did some thinking, he felt a small rain drop hit his face, causing in to run down his face before bigger and faster rain drops came down all over the two skating, plus the audience. Everyone was shocked, after all it didn't rain much at races, but even if it did, no one could race. Everyone knew that the boards would be more loose for skating and the wheels would be terrible in the rain. However, Reki started to smirk, trying his hardest not to laugh. This was it, what he had been preparing for.

Adam groaned, seeing as it rained. "Tch, rain. Whatever, there's no way someone like you could beat me, even in the rain. Rain may be bad for both me and other skaters, but it doesn't completely hold me back. I'll beat you once for all and get my Eve back!" He called out, putting his arms out and smirking. Adam did have his tricks if Reki happened to pull ahead too.

The cameras then turned their attention to Reki, who was chuckling quietly and smirking. They were going to see how much of a loser Adam was at this moment.

Everyone in the audience was whispering, wondering why Reki was smirking and laughing like that, but Langa was just staring at him, smiling with determination in his eyes. He believed in his best friend, and now Reki would finally get his moment to shine, like a ray of sunshine coming from clouds.
