14(New Memories Or Nightmares?)

Desi POV
We have been home for about a week & a half now & everything is absolutely fabulous! Flip is doing great, getting bigger & heavy each day. Everyone says he might cry a lot & so forth, but he is very quiet, sleeps through the whole night, & cries only when either hungry or his diaper is full & occasionally when some "stranger" is holding him. But that's it. & Luke, Oh My! He is the best husband/daddy I have ever seen. He protects Flip like tomorrow is his last day of seeing him. He is also a huge help. Always asking if I need anything or he can do something to help. I love him more than I did before if that is any possible. Chevy & Hunter love Flip. They both are just like Luke, protecting their little human.
They follow where ever flip is & whoever is holding him even if it's me or Luke.

So today since Flip is a week & a half old now & last week we took some photos just or memories sake & they are sending them today hopefully. But while I wait for that email I'm making breakfast for Luke, so he can get up.

I started on the bacon & poured some pancake batter into a pan waiting for it to cook. I turned the bacon around when I felt Luke's hands wrapping around my waist peeking at the food I'm making. I laughed at him googly eye the bacon. once I settled all the food on to some plates next to me so I can make our plates a familiar cry started. yes, flip is awake. my baby. Luke unwrapped his arms & went straight upstairs. I smiled & started our plates & placing them on the table with our coffee. Black for Luke & a French Vanilla creamer for me. Luke soon came down with Flip in his strong arms that are gentle to the touch & Chevy & Hunter right behind him watching flip closely.

"Want me to hold him so you can eat?" I asked
& he shook his head.
"You eat, I'm fine." as he sat down to eat with Flip still in his arms quietly studying Luke's face. I started eating but I couldn't keep my eyes off of the most cutest sight in front of me.

"Take a picture, It will last longer." Luke said stuffing his mouth with pancake.
"I think I will." I laughed getting up & grabbing my phone off the counter.

I took the picture of Luke looking down to see Flips confused face from studying turn into a huge smile when he realized it was Dad. so cute. I'm posting it up.

"Should I post it up on mines or yours?" I asked
"It doesn't matter, might as well let everyone know."
He smiled while stuffing his face again.
I sent to to Luke's phone & he gave it to me to post it up for him.
"What do you want it to say?" I asked ready to type it.
"Ummm......." he ate his bacon.
"Enjoying breakfast with my little country man."
He smiled looking down at Flip again.
"Ok." I smiled typing it.
"Don't forget to tag yourself." he reminded
"I wont." I said.
*Enjoying breakfast with My Little Country Man." I tagged the photo & myself in it & posted it on all his Social Medias from IG.
After I did I finished eating & Luke's phone started bombing with notifications from everywhere. we both stared at it & Luke reached it & turned it off & continued eating.

After breakfast & feeding Flip, I checked my email to see the photos with Flip in my arms.

Yes!! They sent them!!
I clicked it & viewed all the photos they took of Flip & Luke & 1 with Hunter. They were all so cute. I love them.
I saved them all & printed them so I could frame them.

I want to do something today but I'm not sure what. I'll ask Luke.

Luke's POV
I was upstairs changing from after my shower when Desi came in.
"What do you want to do today?" She asked
"What do you have in mind?" I raised an eyebrow as was putting my shirt on.
"Ummmm.......how about we go down to the lake?" She asked
I walked up to her & placed my hands on her waist.
"That's fine with me." I kissed Flips forehead & I went to put my shoes on & Desi went to get flip ready. I went to the garage & got my pole & tackle box. I placed them on the back of the Yeti & called Hunter & Chevy. they jumped up on & I tied them on their so they wouldn't fly off after some quill. I know Chevy wouldn't but Hunter would. (he's done it before).
I went back inside to see Desi packing a lunch. I walked up to her so she can handle Flip to me. I chuckled at what he was wearing. "Daddy's Getting a New Fishing Buddy" she finished up the basket as I headed out to the Yeti & wait. flip was sitting on my lap as the dogs tried to get his attention & Flip trying to pet them. Desi soon came out & locked the door behind her. She placed the basket on the floor & took Flip from my lap to hers & we were off to the lake.
