Return of the Padawan

"So you are saying I can't train him?" Qui-Gon states indignantly.

"That is what we are suggesting. You can do what you wish." Mace Windu responds, exasperated. "For now, we are needing to discuss the Senate meeting with Master Shano."

"Thank you, Masters. Come, Master, we need to train a bit more." Obi-Wan leads the way, bringing Qui-Gon Jinn with him. Once they leave the room, all eyes turn to me.

"The Senate meeting has brought about a change in governance. The Senator of Naboo, Sheev Palpatine convinced Queen Padme Amidala to push for a vote that will replace Chancellor Valorum."

"And the result?" Yaddle questions.

"The vote has been passed through the Senate." Murmurs erupt around the room.

"When will it be enacted?" Plo Koon asks.

"A matter of days." Silence reigns over the room as the news sinks in.

"Something else to say, have you?" Yoda asks. "Questions, requests, hmm?"

"Yes Master." I take a deep breath. "Padme requests to return to Naboo at once. I believe Master Jinn, Padawan Kenobi, and young Skywalker should be the ones to escort her."

"Makes sense. No one else would go for them. They already know it's a bad idea to attack. They would just go after one of us." Adi Gallia reasons.

"Send them, we will."

"I have one other request. I want to train my brother as a Jedi."

"You have a brother?" Plo Koon looks shocked. "Why were we not informed?"

"I have kept his identity a secret for various reasons."

"Can you give us some of those reasons?" Mace Windu questions. I sigh.

"There is one reason I cannot tell you, which is the primary reason. I also know that siblings within the Jedi order are rare and must be separated."

"I am training my cousin, Stass Allie." Adi Gallia counters.

"How do you know he is Force sensitive?" Eeth Koth asks.

"I have...secretly trained him in what I can without being noticed. Lightsaber drills at midnight. When I was found by Jalena several days ago, I was training him to lift objects through the Force."

"Jehsak? The mechanic we found years ago after his parents died?" Even Piell asks.

"Yes. Did he ever tell you his parents' names?"

"He couldn't remember. We found him at a very young age." Mace Windu offers

"His parents were Sharna and Al Semar, my parents' names. He is my younger brother. I want to train him to be a Jedi. He deserves a chance."

"Jedi Knight Shaak Ti, go retrieve Jehsak Bane. We will take his training into consideration." I smile, but not enough to be noticed. "In the meantime, we need to discuss this new act that has been passed through the Senate. I sense an evil around it." Mace Windu states.

"I agree. Shrouded in mystery, this is." Yoda agrees.

"What do we do then, hm? Possible return of the Sith, is this?" Yaddle asks. Her question sends silence over the entire group.
