A long, long time ago( Better not give you the date in case you can't remember it) the Malay king called Sang Nila Utama went hunting. He spotted a small island which was then called Temasek. Temasek was a small fishing village which was Singapore. He sailed over to Temasek and he found out it was indeed very beautiful. Green plants covered the ground and wild animals scurried around.
