With time , bheeshm and Amba find love and respect to each other . Amba was not feeling well for some days so she decided to consult the royal vaidya .

"You are late" said Amba
" Rajmata and I were discussing some serious issues the prince of kuntiboj is conducting a Ashvamedha yagya .soon I have to face him in the battle field. Panchal warriors too had been seen near our borders panchal king is waiting for a chance to defeat me "
" It was the king who entered panchal and burned the fields not you"
" It is me who defeated him and saved Vichitravirya from them he will not forget that till his death. What about you. you are looking very happy today"
"There is something I have to tell you"
Amba walked towards bhishm and placed his hand over her belly
" Do you have stomachache . I will call vaidya "
" No I don't have any stomachache "
" Then what's the problem why you placed my hands over your stomach"
"Because you are going to become a father I am pregnant Arya"
Bhishm was shocked he was going to become a father He thanked gods and queen satyvati for this wonderful gift because if it was not for her he would not have met Amba

Amba gave birth to a healthy boy .He was named Veerdath
After some months Ambika gave birth to Dhritarashtra during her pregnancy Ambika fell down once her bump hitting the ground this caused a nerve damage to Dhritarashtra hence he was born blind.After Dhritarashtra Ambalika gave birth to a sickly child Pandu 2 years after  Pandu's birth kuruvansh was blessed with another child Vidhur born to a royal maid

Vichitravirya health was declining due to the heavy consumption of drugs and alcohol soon he too left the world leaving bheeshm the task to look after his children

The children were loved by everyone Veerdath was very protective of his younger brothers . Dhritarashtra followed his brother everywhere ,It is only him who saw the strength and intelligence of his while others showered him with sympathy .Pandu and Vidhur too respected their brother but not as much as Dhritarashtra

The children were taught in Astra's and shastra' s by bhishm and kuluguru kripachariya

Veer mastered celestial weapons just like his father while Dhritarashtra with his great strength become a undeafetable force in mace fighting He too mastered his all other senses with the help of veer Pandu due to his sickly nature focused more on archery and was in toe to toe with his uncle and elder brother
Vidhur focused himself more in learning manuscripts and politics from kripachariya

Years passed , time has come for Hastinapur to crown it's next king . There was no doubt in anyone mind as to whom should become the next king.Amba was proud of the man her son become . Ambika loved veer as much as Dhritarashtra because it was only him who saw the pain in her son and turned his weekends into his strengths. Satyvati understood it is necessary for veer to be the next king since Dhritarashtra is blind and Pandu is not as strong as veer . She also wanted to repent the sin of forcing Devrath to abdicate his throne  through Veer.Hence it was decided that veer will be the next king

On an auspicious day Veer was crowned as king of the Hastinapur

" Father I want something from you" said veer
" What is it you seek my son "
" I want to travel the Aryavarta to know more about our allies enemies and it's people in disguise"
" It's a great thing that you have decided to travel to know about life's of common people  but in disguise is it necessary"
" Yes if I have to know about the lives of our citizens then I have to be one of them it is necessary "
" As you wish but what about the throne your duty"
" Knowing about the lifestyle of my people is also my duty I want you to protect the throne for some more time"
" Who will accompany you in this expedition"
" Pandu "

" Let me accompany you brother or do you think I am not capable because I am blind" said Dhritarashtra Veer and he were on the private room of king
" How dare you it's not because of that I love you more than any one and you accuse me "
" I am sorry brother but why are you not allowing me to accompany you"
" I want you here in Hastinapur to protect the kingdom my expedition is a secret and if our enemies find about it Hastinapur will be attacked there are only 2 people I can trust to protect our nation father and you .so stay here and safeguard our nation my little brother"
" I will but promise me you will come back soon"

After taking the blessings of elders and saying goodbye to their brothers Dhritarashtra and Vidhur  Veer and Pandu begin their journey as commoners
