[stretches back]
[rubs eyes and sips coffee]
man its been waaaay too long, I apologize for having y'all to wait but I'm happy to say its FINALLY over. This chap is a little short, might change tags and still might need to edit later but dedicated to our favourite boys' special day - and no....no honeymoon smut, I'm bad at the subject in general.
Anyways, hope you guys like this new chap. The epilogue is only left, have fun! (and yes, sorry for the wait....again).
Warning: the traditions used here in the scene if something I just made up, inaccurate to any real existing Uzumaki clan traditions (if there are any). Pls dont kill me :D
Warmth. That was the first feeling he felt; something that changed his life permanently and irreversibly.
It was all because of that addictive warmth that he now refused to let go.
No, it's not the sun's warmth, it was the warmth of his embrace; a pure luxury he has found the right to submerge in which he can hardly believe but wouldn't dare to mention.
When was the last time he felt this safe? This warmth of home and love, something that was stolen from him as a child all those years ago, now returned back to him by a miraculous grace embodied in a single person. It was scary how it all came washing over him at once.
That night wasn't the only night they joined as one afterwards, it was all but bliss and the feeling that it was all right. Sasuke counted himself, for the first time in all his life, as a lucky man. A very lucky man to have owned the heart of the gorgeous embodiment of the sun when many would have lost that chance. He doesn't intend to ruin it all - never again.
He now just sits in the shared bed of his, no, their home.
Ah, that's right. They moved in together.
It wasn't that they weren't living together already, but they decided to make things for permanent. Sasuke thought it would be better to home into their own home rather than an apartment. He would never use the Uchiha compound despite its luxury, its bloodstained history felt too haunting and Naruto deserved a better space than the small apartment he lived in since childhood.
'I'd like it better if we had our own place, a little away from the main city' Sasuke told him one day. Naruto's eyes widened slightly at the sudden declaration.
'Oh? Why? Is the apartment too uncomfortable? I-'
'I wanted for us to have new memories. Happier ones,' he said quietly, suddenly feeling bashful under the azure stare.
'Sasuke...'
The ravenette took his hand and grasped it softly, 'I know we never got it right the first time. This apartment, my home, they're all filled with memories of the past - memories that aren't really pleasant, ' he looked at him firmly, 'I want us to have a place where we don't have to remember them. Make better memories.'
Naruto smiled softly. He knew it was also because of the guilt, the pain in abandoning him and their rough past making the place filled with unhappy memories. He nodded enthusiastically with a bright smile.
'Let's go for it!'
They did. A modest beautiful home with a spacious garden which excited Naruto who couldn't wait to put his green thumb to use. Sakura and Hinata came in to help with moving in too with Ino gifting him a generous array of plants and flowers for the garden and house.
