"Ohayo Naruto!" A well known female voice called out to him as he stood panting heavily from the vigorous training he went through. It was afternoon and the April clouds flew lazily past as the trees swayed gently to the wind. Naruto stood up straight after catching his breath and smiled at the mop of short rosy pink hair approached him, emerald green eyes sparkled in the sun dressed in her usual pink top and black skirt with knee length ninja boots.
Haruno Sakura took up the appearance of her teammate, blond locks slightly dishevelled and shone in the sun, jacket halfway open revealing his fishnet shirt and necklace looking out of breath from training obviously. But she felt that there was something more to the blonde's expression today. He seemed a bit lost, having his own internal battle and more determined by the day. She had a good guess what it might be a about.
"Hey Sakura-chan! Whatcha doing dattebayo!" He said beaming at his comrade.
"Just came to check on you. Have you heard from Kakashi sensei or captain Yamato yet about our next mission?"
He frowned slightly, "No I haven't. But they better come ul with some answers soon. I'm tired on of sitting around here when I could go there be useful!" He replied with frustration. If there's anything Naruto hated, its staying in one place unable to help. He hated feeling useless.
Sakura felt his frustration and smiled placing a hand on his shoulder, "How about we go have some ramen yeah?"
He smiled, "Thanks Sakura chan. Let's go dattebayo!" And he raced off with Sakura chuckling behind him.
Her crush on the former team 7 member seemed like a childish dream now. Nothing but just for looks and admiration, in truth she didn't know much about the raven. His secrets, feelings, or what makes him tick. Not the way Naruto did. It seemed silly to when she thought about her pointless crush on Sasuke all those years. She had grown out of it but it also opened her eyes to see the real picture.
She noticed the find look on Naruto's face when he looks at Sasuke and how the raven did too. The way they looks and treat each other in teasing fondness, they knew each other so well and were well synced in battle as if they knew what each other was thinking. Come to think of it the only person Sasuke was this connected and expressed fondness and emotion was towards Naruto. Heck their first kiss were each other. She could see even when they encountered Sasuke, how close they were. She only hoped one day they would overcome this riddiculous facade and finally admit their feelings for each other, she could see it was tearing them them inside.
Please, at least for a little while let him smile and be happy without worrying about Sasuke, if only they realized the truth, she thought as they headed towards Ichiraku.

'Sasuke, come home'
Cerulean orbs glimmered as they stared at the emotionless obsidian eyes. Nimble tan hands reached out and touched his pale cheek with such affection. The hand lowered and he approached to him closer.
He tried to resist but he felt himself falling more and more into those endless pits of blue. He felt himself reach out and caress those whisker marked cheeks which was smooth and warm under his touch. He couldnt deny the fact that he was beautiful in his own special way. They were now only inches from each other's faces, noses gently touching and nuzzled lightly with quiet affection. He felt a sudden warmth bloom in his chest as he stared at the lond now only centimetres away from his face.
