The astrals before Blox Watch

Chapter ten: The last piece

Daisy and Molly brought Rose to the medical bay to see if she had suffered any major injuries. Thankfully she didn't. Only some scratches, cuts and bruises. Charlotte on the other hand, separated herself. She said she wanted to see something, but it took her quite a while. Daisy was getting nervous.

"Daisy, calm down" asked Molly "She knows what she's doing" 

"You're right. I'm just too worried, since she's next on the creatures hit list." 

Then, they heard her coming. But she was talking to someone.

"Still, thanks for coming back to help me."

"It's the least I could do for you helping us"

She then stepped in the room with a bacon soldier. Everyone was alarmed, but Charlie spoke up:

"Everyone, calm down! This is Albert, the one who helped us."

"Oh, is he?" asked Molly. Charlie nodded.

"Why is he bruised like that?" asked Daisy.

"He shot the Elite Guard, and everyone jumped on him. He needs treatment so he can fight along us."

"YOU'RE TACKING HIM WITH US?" 

"Yes Molly! Be real: the both of us combined can't take down those creatures by ourselves. He knows how to fight, and has a supply of guns, ammo and Medical supplies."

"Fine, he can come. If the creatures get their hands on you we're all doomed!"

"What, why?" asked Albert

"It's difficult" explained Charlie.

"I see. Why don't you and M-Molly... is that your name?"

"Yes"

"Oh , ok. Why don't you two change your appearance? You do look physically close."

Everyone gave Albert a disapproving look.

" Are you crazy? The creatures aren't stupid. Charlotte is still a kid, and significantly shorter" remarked Daisy, slightly angered.

"Sorry, I'm not the smartest man"

"Then how the hell did you come up with that plan?"

"No fucking clue"

What the group didn't know , was that a certain creature was ease dropping. It heard the Albert's plan, and set off for the cave, not bothering to check if the plan was approved or not. It told the plan to General 

"Then be extra careful. Pay close attention to details"

"Yes, master!"

The very next day, the little group set off. Somehow, Matt's phone was able to survive through all the fighting he'd been through, and Molly used it to help themselves get to the place. The journey was going smooth, until Rose felt lightheaded, and demanded for a brake. They stopped close by a lake with some fish.

"Mommy, can we go see the fish?" asked a very curious Cerise.

"Sorry, we can't go. You know that Charlie is in danger"

"Pleease?"

Molly looked back at Daisy and Charlotte. 

"If anything happens you're close by" said Daisy. "Go have some fun."

"Ok, thanks. Come on, Cerise, we have some fish to see!"

"Yay! Thanks a lot mom!"

Little did they know, the Shadow Creatures were on a the hunt, and close by. They were a couple of feet away from the group, not knowing , when there was trouble. Unbeknown to anyone, Cerise had been carrying the magenta crystal with her. At one point she leaned forward,  and the crystal slipped from her pocket. Molly was able to catch it, but the crystal, now exposed, gave Charlotte a headache. She lost her balance and  walked to the side , trying to regain it. She did so, but not after stepping on a branch that broke beneath her feet. The creatures heard the sound, and walked over to the source. 

They approached, the source , and saw Charlie.

"GET HER!"

"Oh no you don't!" said Albert, before pulling out his gun and tried shooting the beasts. But it was no good. One sneaked up behind him, and knocked him out. Daisy was next.

 Before she knew it, something hit her, causing her to loose balance, but she wasn't able to regain it, as she was dizzy. She hit a ground, leaving Charlie an open target. She tried fighting them off, but it was no good. They soon captured her, and were preparing to leave, when Molly emerged, still with the crystal in her hands. 

"What the hell?"

Suddenly, they all remembered about the swapping trick. The fact that Molly had the Crystal convinced them even more, she was their target. They all rushed her, pushing her against the ground, then knocking her out so she couldn't resist. They immediately  rushed to their secret hideout. Charlotte wanted to give chase, but Cerise stopped her, as they needed to help Daisy and Albert recover.

They soon did recover, and Rose woke up.

"What happened?" she asked. She could see Cerise crying. She then looked around and realized: Molly was gone.

Daisy was relieved her daughter was still there, all safe, but she was very worried about the ritual.

"So how does this ritual thing go if there is no astral?"

"I can't remember exactly, but it surely doesn't work. If the ritual fails, nothing quite serious happens, except, the people used for the ritual can't be used again for a day

"Right" concluded Daisy, "then we must pick up the pace , and get there as soon as possible, and wait for it to end. After that, we find a way to break our friends out."

"Then it's best if we leg it", finished Albert.

And, after that discussion, they all headed for the dreaded cave

"Did you get her?"

"Yes sir, here she is"

"I see they played their little trick"

"Indeed they have, but we were too smart for them."

"Right, take her to the rest of the group. The ritual shall begin in less than two hours"

"Molly? You too? Oh dear, at this rate, we're all gonna get caught"

"Still, what ritual was my father talking about?"

"One that allowed him to cause havoc. He needs a bacon hair, a guest, a pure-blooded, and an astral human"

"What are astral humans?"

"It's complicated"

"Wait, then that means Molly is an astral"

"Actually I'm not."

"Then why are you here?"

"They mistaked me for their actual target."

"Charlotte........."

"Wait, she's an astrel?"

"It's astral, and yes, she is"

"How come?"

"Right now it's not relevant, Matt."

"So what do we do now?"

"We wait. Our friends will come and rescue us"

"Let's just hope it's before the ritual. It doesn't sound good."
