The astrals before Blox Watch

Chapter five: The first strike

"Is this substance dangerous? Is our daughter in danger? Is she going to die?!"

"Lady, calm down. The substance may be unknown, but, it's not lethal"

"Wait really?" 

"Yeah. It interacts like how water and oil interact with each other. The substance seems to float over her blood , and it doesn't affect it, and the blood is still running normally". 

"So the substance won't affect her at all?'

"Not quite. Right now, the substance hasn't done anything severe. As of right now the only major things that can do are a few strong aches. But they will last at a maximum of five minutes if taken care off. I have a short list of medicine for Charlotte to take to keep everything under cover. We'll extract a bit of the substance so we can study it".

"But if it behaves like oil, can't you eject it all?"

"I'm sorry sir. The substance has bread all across her arm. It would be almost impossible to eject it all out".

"Well at least we know all is relatively alright".

"Indeed. The operation of extracting the substance won't take long, but we're pretty busy. I'd say after 5 PM she'll be good to leave"

"Thanks a lot doctor" said  Guest

"Just doing my job. Literally"

After arriving home, Charlotte went to the bathroom to look herself in the mirror. As if on queue, her eyes began to glow. She took a deep breath, and began thinking................ What was happening to her? Why were her eyes glowing? What were those powers she possessed? What were those creatures? What did they want with her? Everything was so confusing. It was best if she didn't think about it.

A couple of days passed by and Matt, Guest, Molly and Jez were given a two week break by Captain Richards. Since Rose wanted to go buy herself some new clothes, but couldn't because she had to take care of her baby due to Jez being occupied in the army and her mom having troubles with the doctors, so she took Jez's vacation as an opportunity to go to the mall since there was a shop which had some pretty big sales. Molly wanted to come too and so did Charlotte, since the creatures destroyed one of her hoodies. Matt and Guest tagged along since they both were looking for a pair of sports shoes.

"Are you sure you can take care of my mother and our Baby?"

"Of course" responded a very confident Jez. " I fought in a war and killed the second most dangerous man in the bacon empire so I think I can manage"

"Ok then good luck"

An hour or so flies by. Rose's mom was cooking in the kitchen while Jez was vacuuming the living room. The baby was asleep, and besides the noises of the kitchen and the vacuum it was all quiet. The silence was broken by someone smashing down the front door. Jez came in a hurry to see what was going on. Before him stood a tall , dark figure, with the shape of the hair similar to his.

"Well hello there, Jez."

"Who are you?"

The figure laughed. "You know very well who I am."

"No, no I don't" 

"Typical. Not even a bit of respect for the one who brought you up"

Jez froze in realization

"Anyway, I'm not here for a family reunion. I just need you to come with me"

"What? Why? Where?"

"It doesn't matter. We can do this the easy way , where you can come with me , or the hard way where I knock you out"

"Bad news. You're not taking me"

"Oh I think I will"

The bacon general proceeded to punch his son in the face. Jez fell to the ground , but was able to recover pretty quick. He got up and proceeded to fight the ghostly reincarnation of his dad. Whilst they were doing that, Rose's mom called her daughter on the phone.

"Oh no you don't" said a beast before jumping on Rose's mother , making her fall to the floor. The beast proceeded to knock her out. "Sweet dreams"

After five minutes of continuous fighting, Jez attempted to head kick his opponent, but the general caught his foot, and swung Jez round  into a wall. There was a loud noise. This had woken the baby with a fright.

"OOh, what have we here?" the general disappeared from it's original position. Jez  quickly recovered, and leaped to the room where his child was. Upon arriving he saw the bacon general, with claws in his hands, ready to harm the infant.

"NO WAIT , DON'T HURT HIM PLEASE......... I will surrender"

"Now that's what I like to hear"

"But first off, step away from the crib, and leave the baby be"

"Ok then" The bacon general stepped away. "Now your turn"

It was only two seconds after that fraze that Jez was knocked out cold. 

"Finally. One down, three to go........"

Meanwhile , at the store , Charlotte was keeping an eye on Rose's purse, since she was trying out some clothes. Since she knew what she was looking for, she already bought her clothes, so she could just wait for the others to finish. At one point, she could feel something inside Rose's purse vibrating, and a musical chime came in. She knew it was the phone, and checked to see who it was, and replied. But what she could hear from the other side was concerning: 

Something hit the wall hard, and she could barely hear the baby in the distance then came a voice. One she recognized, then Jez who realized what was happening and began limping towards the room where the baby was in. 

Charlotte closed the call and went to Rose in a hurry.

"Rose, something's wrong at your house. Your mom called, but instead of hearing her , there was something hitting the wall hard, then two voices. One belonged to Jez and he was concerned about the baby."

"What? Oh god!"

Molly who was nearby overheard the conversation and thought fast. 

"Right! Charlotte, you're coming with me and Cerise. We'll go see what's going on. I'll call Matt and guest to pick Rose and Daisy up, since they will need some extra time for Rose to change back".

"Got it!" 

Before they could leave, Daisy pulled Molly aside for a quick moment.

"Please take care"

"We will" 

After reassuring Daisy , Molly Charlotte and Cerise hoped in the car and they went home.

"Finally. Now that one's gone, they will all come. All four pieces we need"

"Master, I don't understand , why couldn't we take the other human in the house. She was a guest"

"Indeed, but , she does not have the energy and determination I'm looking for. Plus , our targeted guest is sitting between us and the astral we need. "

"So, who's next?"

"The pure-blooded..............."
