Chapter sixteen: The aftermath

Charlotte slowly wakes up from her coma. Her vision was blurry, as if she was underwater and she could hear the sound of a heartbeat monitor. Faded at first, then gently, clearer and clearer. She was in a hospital, yet again. This time she could see less than before. Her left eye was covered.

"Oh God. Thank you for blessing me once again!"

"Charlie?". The voice was all too familiar. Daisy entered the room where Charlie along side some other patients were. "Thank the lord! You were in a coma for two months!"

"What happened?"

"One of my dad's goons attacked you. Guest 666 was able to kill it off, but those few seconds it attacked were used efficiently."

"What about the rest?"

At that moment, Daisy's face fell. Visible tears ran down her face. 

"Me, Matt, Jez, Rose, their baby and Daisy survived." answered Molly.

"So dad and Cerise are.....". Jez , Molly and Daisy nodded.

"Cerise died instantly, and the wounds were too severe for your dad." Finished Daisy, wiping her tears. 

"At least you didn't loose everything Daisy." Comforted Molly, slowly turning her head to Charlie.

"You are right. I am so blessed with having you here alive, Charlie." Finished Daisy. She wanted to hug her daughter so bad, but the Doctors restricted her from doing so.

A few hours later, after Molly and Jez left, a doctor came in.

"Good Mornin' Charlie! How ya feelin'?"

"Pretty good I guess."

"Good. Now I've got some good news and bad news. The good news is after two more weeks of her stayin' here she will be good to go. The bad news is that your left eyeball has taken significant damage and will take a few more months to recover."

"Thanks Doctor" nodded Daisy.

"Cool, now everyone at school will say I look like a pirate."

"Then they will see a very stylish pirate" giggled Daisy.

The two weeks came and went, and soon, Charlie was out of the hospital. That Sunday they went to the cemetery where Guest and Cerise rested. Charlotte looked at the two graves. Even though she saved the world by fighting the General she still felt awful. She couldn't shake a feeling of guilt and hoped she could do something. 

"Depressing to see, isn't it?" That voice sounded like Guest 666. "If only you knew how to bring them back."

"Yeah, if only there wa-.... Wait a minute, is there?"

"Indeed. I can reset the timeline from when the General started. He is now caged, and won't harm you any longer. But, I need something more...."

"Is it energy from my astral powers?" 

Guest 666 nodded.

"Then take them. Better off without them. They caused us too much grief."

"I won't be taking them away for ever. They will just recharge or something like that.."

"But what is the purpose of me having these powers? Wasn't I meant to use them against the General?"

"In this timeline, maybe, but in the one I am taking you in there is no such threat as that General. I sense your powers will come in very handy for something else......"

"Well then. Let's revive some friends then, smiled Charlie."

"Right you are! Guest 666 closed his eyes and put his hands together. There was a huge beam of light, then silence........

"I'll give you a three second start to run, Cerise!"

"I won't need it!" replied the little girl.

"I am bigger than you." remarked Charlie.

"And more fat!" Taunted Cerise. 

"Oh, now you've done it!" and with that Charlie set off to tag Cerise.

"Time sure flies, doesn't it?" remarked Guest.

"Yeah. It's impressive how much Charlie grew, yet she can still play as if she's no older than 8."

"Soon Lewis can play with them too." chuckled Rose.

"How soon?" asked Daisy. " In three-four years, Charlie is going to collage!"

"Damn..... she did grow fast didn't she? Where did all the time go?" pondered Guest, with a slight tear of joy running down his eye.

"In army" began Molly.

"Training" continued Matt.

"A whole war to save your kind" added Jez.

"And saving the world." finished Daisy. Everyone laughed.

"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!" taunted Charlie.

"No fair, you run faster than me!"

"Can't help my legs are big-" she cut off, but tripping on a branch and falling to the ground.

"Charlie, are you ok?" asked Daisy.

"Me? Yes." She said as she lifted herself up. "My ego.."

"TAG! You're it!"

"Not anymore". She then proceeded to once again chase Cerise.

The timeline was just perfect. No fuss over astral powers, and no threat of the bacon General coming back to haunt them. But in this timeline Charlie would have to face another great Danger. An danger Going by the name of Blox watch...........................................
