'So Hermione. How does it feel to be a Nott?' Blaize asked when the group settled down again.

'Not really different.' Hermione answered. She didn't really want to spend more time than necessary with Zabini and Malfoy.

'Blaise, Draco? which one of you wankers will grow a pair of balls and tell me what happened with the whole closet interrogation? Why is my baby sister's arm completely bruised?' Theo snapped impatiently.

'Mate, could you calm down please?' Blaize simply replied. 'We only wanted to ask her some questions.'

'Okay... I feel like you guys should have this conversation without me.' Hermione started. she was about to get up from the sofa but she was softly pulled back down by Theo.

'Hermione please stay.' Theo pleaded. He only just got his sister back. He wasn't ready to let her go just yet. even if it was just to the other side of the room. 'What questions? And I still haven't heard an explanation for the bruise.'

'Draco? do you want to explain to our dear friend what happened? Or do I get the pleasure?' Blaize asked. He was obviously enjoying this.

'Fuck off Zabini.' Draco snapped 'listen Theo, I only wanted to make sure she wasn't some kind of gold digger. So we asked her about her intentions. She didn't answer the questions and then she tried to walk out. So I pulled her back and made sure she didn't leave again. The second I realized it was your sister, I let her go.'

'If you hurt her again. If you even look at her the wrong way. I swear I will make you pay for it.' Theo threatened, staring Draco straight in the eye. Neither of them broke eye contact.

It remained silent for a while. Eventually it was Blaize who broke the silence by leaning over to Hermione and saying 'Don't worry they do this quite often. In the end they always make it work again.' He told her then he added with a wink 'Also lucky you, you didn't just get a brother. You also gained a bodyguard. I hope you didn't plan on getting a boyfriend anytime soon. I pity the poor soul who will have to deal with this overprotective brother.'

'Blaize shut up! She's eleven! This won't be a problem for at least another seven years.' Theo exclaimed.

'Seven years? You truly believe not a single guy will try to get with the lost princess until she turns eighteen?' Blaize laughed.

'I would like to see them try.' Theo huffed. Draco and Blaize both started laughing at that. And just like that the tension between the three of them disappeared.

'I can't believe we have to spend our Saturday with Snape.' Draco groaned.

'You two have fun. I'll think of you when I'm sitting here relaxing with a good book.' Blaize teased. And so they spend the rest of their evening together. sharing stories about their childhoods. Many, many embarrassing stories about Theo were shared.

Hermione started to realize that her life would probably never be the same. In just a month time everything she knew had completely changed. She went from being a lonely muggle orphan with one friend. To being a witch with three real friends. She gained a brother and with that brother apparently came with a small fortune.  Not that Hermione really cared about that but let's be honest no one gets mad about getting some money.

days turned into weeks. And soon it was Halloween. For many this was a fun day. Most of the students at Hogwarts were looking forward to the feast later that day. But for a lot of the slytherins this was a sad day. This was the day the dark lord fell. This was the day many of their families were ripped apart. Hermione and Harry never liked this day. It had always been the day that they were brought into the orphanage. They had never what happened to their parents. This year however they finally found out what had happened. They both died on different sides of a war no muggle even knew about.

So like they did every year they spend the day together. They were walking outside, enjoying the last bits of sunshine before winter came. 'I still can't believe a whole war happened right in front of the muggles and none of them noticed.' Harry remarked.

'Well I guess that if they noticed something their memories would probably get altered by the government.' Hermione reasoned back. 'I still have a hard time believing my parents used to believe a madmen like Voldemort was the right guy to follow. How could they accept and actually agree with such vileness.'

'You don't know for certain they truly agreed with him. Maybe the just... followed him because they were scared? Or because they wanted more power?' Harry tried to offer.

'Not sure that is really better.' Hermione answered. 'So how is Ronald doing?'

'Ron is doing okay. he is going to use this free day to try and catch up with all the homework he has been putting off. At least that is what he said this morning. I'll be surprised if he manages to finish one of the assignments.' said Harry.

'My offer still stands. If he can swallow his pride and ask me for help, I'll be more than happy to help.' Hermione reminded him. It was after the first three weeks that Hermione had noticed that both Harry and Ron weren't the best at keeping up with the work. She had offered her help back then. Harry had eagerly accepted it. Ron however was to proud to accept the help from a slytherin. He had stopped being rude to Hermione. he could still be very annoying but most of the time he was pretty good company to be around.

'I'll remind him. I have a feeling he might accept it now. Even he must see that there is no way he will otherwise finish everything on time.' Harry told her.

they spend the rest of the afternoon together. When it was time for the feast they returned to the castle together. People still did a double take when they saw a Gryffindor and Slytherin walking together. Prejudice ran deep at Hogwarts and all houses were guilty of it. Actually not all houses. Hufflepuffs didn't seem to have any prejudices against anyone.

When Hermione sat down at the slytherin table next to Tracy and Daphne, she noticed that her brother wasn't sitting with Draco and Blaize. 'Hey, where is Theo?'

'He doesn't do the Halloween feast.' Blaize shrugged.

'He spends most of the day by himself in the astronomy tower.' Draco explained. 'This day brings back to many memories.'

'So you two just leave him all by himself?' Hermione asked incredulously.

'Well the first year we tried to drag him to the feast. He hexed us then.' Draco said.

Blaize then added 'so the next year we tried to join him and also skip the feast. But then he also hexed us. So now we just let him do his thing.'

Hermione shook her head. Boys seriously had the emotional range of a teaspoon. and even that teaspoon was too much for them to handle.

'How was your day with Harry?' Daphne asked. She was trying to get your attention back to the present.

'It was pretty good. This day is never easy for us. But it helps that we have each other.' Hermione answered. 'What did you two do all day?'

Tracy and Daphne told Hermione all about the new gossip that they had gather from the other houses. The conversation easily flowed into talk about the homework that they now had finished and what foods on the table was the best.

Hermione wrapped a few meat pies and some fruit in her napkin and took it with her when it was time to leave the feast. While the others made their way to the common room, Hermione went to the astronomy tower. Her brother might be able to scare off his friends but if he thought he could do the same with Hermione then he was seriously mistaken.
