Time flew by at Hogwarts. Hermione had quickly become the best student of her year in all the classes except for flying and herbology. Ron had finally sucked up his pride and asked Hermione for her help with his assignments. By working together the pair actually grew a bit closer.
On the first Saturday of the month Hermione, Harry and Ron went to visit Hagrid. Sometimes Daphne and Tracy joined them. The five of them got a long quite well. They would often study together and sit close to each other when they had class together.
Every time slytherin or Gryffindor were playing quidditch, Hermione was dragged down to the pitch to watch the game. For her own house because her brother, Draco and Blaise were on the team. And for Gryffindor because Harry miraculously made the team. Tracy, Daphne and Hermione got many weird looks when they were cheering for Harry while sitting on the slytherin bench.
The first visit to Hogsmead had passed. Theo had come back from the trip with a present for Hermione. He had apologized for not getting her a birthday present on her actual birthday. But seeing that he didn't know his sister would actually be at school, he wasn't to blame for not being prepared. And this was the first opportunity he got to get her a gift. The gift included candy from honeydukes, a fancy quill with Hermione's full name engraved in it, a few books from the bookshop and a new jumper from the only store that sold clothes. He had said something along the lines of "I haven't had the chance to buy you any gifts for ten years so now you get all your gifts in one go."
It was now the last week of lessons before the Christmas break. Hermione was with her little group of friends in the library. They were talking about where everyone would go for Christmas. Tracy, Daphne and Ron were going home for the holidays. Harry and Hermione were pretty unsure where they would go. Officially they were adopted by Hagrid so their home was actually at the school. But now that Hermione had found her brother she was unsure whether she should go with him to the Malfoy's or if she should stay. Neither Theo nor Draco had actually invited her. Harry had received an invitation to stay with the weaselys but he didn't want to go if that meant that Hermione would be alone on Christmas.
'I will ask Theo tonight if he wants me to come with him this Christmas.' Hermione told her friends. 'That way you can also make your decision Harry. Sorry it has taken so long already.'
'Thank you 'Mione.' Harry smiled at her. 'It's okay. There is no need to apologize. It's not your fault your brother has no communication skills.'
'Hey 'Mines? If you end up going home with your brother. Would you like to meet up in Diagon ally for a day? We can go shopping with the three of us.' Daphne asked.
'Yeah now that you're a Nott, you have a fortune to spend. And what better way to spend it then a crazy shopping spree.' Tracy added enthusiastically.
'That sounds lovely. IF I get to go with him, I would love to meet up with you guys.' Hermione agreed.
The other girls accepted that answer. The rest of the conversation was about the quidditch match that was coming up next Friday. It was the game between slytherin and gryfindor.

Later that night in the Slytherin common room. 'Uhm... Theo, I was wondering... Christmas is coming and I don't really know where I will be spending it.' Hermione began. 'Will I stay here at Hogwarts with Hagrid or... am I coming with you?'
'Hermione don't be silly. Of course you're coming with me.' Theo answered. 'Narcissa would hex me into the next century if I didn't bring you. She has always wanted a daughter. And seeing that she raised me as her son. So you are now like a daughter to her.'
'I hope you like shopping and going to get mani's and pedi's and all that girly stuff. Because mother will drag you with her to do all those things.' Draco added from his place on the sofa. 'I'm just glad she won't force me to come anymore.'
'I never went shopping before or did any other girly activity.' Hermione confessed. 'Or any activity that wasn't just mandatory with school.'
'What? What did you do for fun then?' Blaize asked dumbfounded.
'Well there was not a lot do if you didn't have money. So Harry and I would mostly just play in the garden of the orphanage. Or I would read books and Harry would watch tv with some other kids.' Hermione shrugged.
'I keep forgetting how different our upbringing was.' Blaize answered.
'What about you guys? What did you guys do for fun?' Hermione asked them.
'Well I wouldn't really call it fun. But Lucius often took Draco and me with him to the bank or to simple business meetings. "One is never too young to learn how to conduct business" is what he would tell us.' Theo relied.
'Then mother took us with her most of the times when she went shopping. If we behaved we were allowed to go to the joke shop.' Said Draco.
'I usually got dropped by my mother in Diagon ally with a pocket full of money. So she could go on a date with one of her suitors.' Blaize sighed 'now those were the days.'
'But you never went to the zoo? Or to the movies or anything like that?' Hermione asked a bit confused.
'No those are muggle activities.' Draco said 'father would never allow us to do that.'
'But those activities are actually fun! We would sometimes do activities like that with the school.' Hermione remarked. 'maybe we can go together one day, Theo.'
'If we can keep it a secret from Lucius then perhaps.' Theo agreed.
Hermione left the boys after that and went back to her own friends. Tracy and Daphne were very excited to plan the shopping trip. There was also talk about a potential slumber party at Daphne's house. This was going to be a Christmas unlike any other Christmas Hermione had seen until now.
