James pov

"Boss!!!! Master yibo is awake!!" One of the guards yelled as the two of us rushed to his room.

He's awake!!!! I mentally screamed happily in my head knowing my buddy is awake & probably doing something stupid right now.

"Wang yibo stay in your damn bed for goodness sake you shouldn't be walking around like nothing just happened to your body!!!" Jiyang who just ran to yibos side yelled.

"Listen to him yibo. You just survived a life threatening situation & your body needs rest"  I joined Jiyang trying to force yibo to take some rest but when he turned & finally turned, he had that look in his eyes. The look I thought I would never see again, the look that brought his empire into existence, the look that crushed once crushed his soul & buried the last drop of humanity he had in him six years ago.

"The look to kill"

Jiyang also noticed & we both gently gave him some space not because we are scared of him but because, this side of yibo hated physical contact & we holding or forcing him to get back to bed will only make things worst.

"Take me to Xiao zhan" yibo said calmly but deep down inside we both know it's an order that should be carried out without delay.

"At least use the wheel chair please. You shouldn't be walking around at this stage please" Jiyang replied as he showed him the wheel chair.

"Listen to him yibo & I promise we will take you to him" I added hoping he would at least consider our pleading which to us is a pleasure as he willingly agreed & let us wheel him to Zhange.

What will he do once he sees zhange? This side of him is very unpredictable & I hope it's definitely something we both could handle on our own.

It seems Jiyang also read my thoughts & calmly whispered in my ears not to over think or panic as it won't help the situation we both are already trapped in. We both should handle everything like adults with a clear head.

How am I gonna handle something like this with a clear head? I feel overwhelmed right now. I couldn't protect the ones I care about & I also broke the promise I made to my wife Sonia on our wedding day "I will always protect you & your precious zhange as long as I live. Who ever makes you smile will definitely hold a place in my good books"

"Am I a failure?"

Yibo just stood there silently with a blank face. He touched zhanges pale face & sat close to him while mumbling something I nor Jiyang could hear. Is this the end?

"How bad is it?" He asked.

"We don't know when he will wake up but his body is responding so for now, we don't have to panicking as I have already assigned a nurse who is watching him. He's stable but just not waking up & even if he wakes up, he will definitely be weak for sure due to the heavy blood loss" Jiyang replied him.

"If?" He asked slightly frowning.

"We can't say much for now yibo let's just cross our fingers & pray for a miracle" Jiyang replied bluntly.

Can't he sugar-coat his words Abit?

"What about Sonia? Is she ok?" He asked.

"Yes she's ok but not aware of what is currently going on" I replied him.

"James make sure I get useful feedbacks before tomorrow & also see me in my office later after you've taken proper rest. Jiyang you know what to do behind the shadows right?" He asked.

"Yes boss" Jiyang replied &eft us alone to put things in order.

"We are going hunting James & our preys won't like what's coming for them" he said.

I only nodded in response to what he said cause silently I was just judging myself. If only maybe I had known & called them on time this problem wouldn't have happened.

We are the good guys but sometimes, you got to play dirty just to get some good done. This people played with fire & I think it's best we let them know the painful outcome of actually messing with the Wang household.

"It's her right?"

" I suspect so"
