Chapter 14: The Beta with Anger Issues

"Theo!" Liam sprung up in a panic as the chimera's alarm went off.

"What is wrong?" the chimera sat up as quickly as Liam screamed.

"Why am I chained to the bed?"

"Let me guess, you remember nothing from last night."

"I smashed the mirror," Liam looked ashamed.

"We drugged you with wolfsbane to make you go to sleep," Theo chuckled, unlocking the cuffs of the beta.

"You drugged me?" Liam questioned him.

"Your father did," Theo smiled.

"Smart," Liam shrugged.

"How do you feel? Do you still feel the moon?"

Liam nodded, "it's strong, but I think I'm in control."

"Good," Theo nodded as they got up to get ready.

After getting dressed, they went down, greeted by David and Nolan already up.

"I'm so glad you are alive Theo," the doctor smirked.

"I wasn't going to kill him," Liam rolled his eyes, pouring himself and the chimera a cup of coffee.

"I wasn't so sure about that last night," the man laughed.

"I can't believe you drugged me."

"I actually have the last three full moons."

"Without me knowing?"

"I asked Deaton ever since I heard you ran across town the one night without clothes one," the man nodded.

Theo and Nolan smiled at one another holding back laughter.

Dr.Geyer handed them each a plate of food and sat down to look at his stepson.

"Liam, are you sure about tonight?"

"Yes, dad, I'll be fine. I've played on full moons before."

"Okay, just checking."

Liam attempted to eat a little bit before his nausea took over once again. No one forced him to try more but were at least they were satisfied that he tried something.
Nolan and he got ready and soon left for the school leaving the chimera and doctor at the table.

"Do you think he's going to stay in control tonight?" Dr.Geyer turned to the chimera.

"Honestly, no," Theo shook his head, "I think he will regain it, but he's going to wolf out. I'm just hoping he doesn't hurt anyone or himself."

"Let's hope," the man smiled.

"Nervous?" Liam looked over at his co-captain.

"Games always make me nervous," Nolan laughed.

"You've been doing good in practice."

"I guess; I'm a little more confident now."

"You are," Liam smiled, trying to fight back any sign of the effort he was putting in not shifting.

School was a mess. Liam couldn't focus at all, claws flashing at every moment. Corey, Mason, and Nolan were about ready to lock him in the locker room before he ended up killing himself or someone else. Mason kept on texting Theo to be ready for tonight, but he was getting more and more worried throughout the day.

"Liam, Li, Liam," Mason looked over during their last class, claws digging into the table.

"Mason," Liam looked up suddenly yellow eyes flashing.
