Burned Away

Y/n POV

"Y/n" a muffled voice "y/n, get up!" Vormund called. I quickly sat up.

"Alright alright im awake." I waved him off. "What time is it?" I groaned wanting to go desperately back into my sleep.

"Its time" he handed me an apple that he had found. "For you to stop being a crippled blob, and help us get out of here" he said putting out the fire.

It felt nice having vormund around, Finally having someone to talk to about all the madness that had happened these past few months. We packed our stuff. I looked around enjoying the view for one last time

I had a weird feeling and the sky started getting dark. There was lightning building up in the sky and it started zapping everywhere. I looked around quickly to spot vormund. He was looking at the sky and just as confused i was. The lightning began striking even faster, and i began running to vormund.

There was a cloud. With electricity right behind him. That wasn't a regular cloud. Something walked through with red eyes and a hood. It said nothing and as i kept running vines grew from the ground amd grabbed my legs. The being chuckled and simply waved him hand toward all the trees. I closed my eyes 'come on y/n focus!' I thought to myself , My eyes turned red and i got to one of our bags. Come on,come on,i need something useful.' come on! I rushed through the bag and found A Dagger! Yes!. I quickly grabbed the dagger and i glitched to the being and started attacking. Suddenly the being faded into thin air.

"What?" I questioned,

"You thought you could hurt me that easy? Hah. You children are so gullible...and weak" it sneared in a hoarse and echoed voice. It faded again.

"Who are you!" I shouted. Oh no. I looked around and was missing one face.

Vormund.

"who are you! And where is he!"i shouted. The being reappeared and chuckled again.

"Aww dont break my heart and tell me you don't remember me" The being mocked and disappearing again.

"Where the hell is he!" I shouted with Rising anger.

"Hm, you wouldn't mean him? Would you?" He pointed in a one direction and disappeared. There vormund was tied up, and with a bandage is his mouth blocking him from speaking.

I began running to Vormund, It felt like he was miles away. When i was just a few feet away, Vormund started shaking his head and trying to speak but all came out as was muffled noises. I started walking closer to him to begin cutting him loose. He was trying to tell me something, but i had ignored him. Shifting my attention to setting him Free. I pulled out the dagger and began cutting the rope. Halfway cutting, Vormund stops making noises. I look up to see if he was okay. To my shock his entire body is fading into ash and flying into the wind.

"What the hell" I grab the ashes that remain on the ground. My heart stopped. My only True friend. I may not have known him my entire life but he was the reason i always felt so safe as a kid. I knew i wasn't alone. And now i really am. I tried holding in my feelings but i couldn't. I started crying. Everything was felt like it was on fire. It was a new feeling. A feeling for justice.. a feeling for revenge. Cold blooded revenge.

I was mortified. I've felt pain before,but its been ages since i felt this kind. The kind of pain you'd feel when somebody you'd loved or began to love...is gone.

"Mm you can feel it can you? That feeling, revenge for something that was so innocent and wrongfully taken from you." The being chuckled.

My anger rising even faster as i clenched the dagger in my hand. I quickly rushed around to try and spot the being.
