Secret Family

Chapter 3

Bryan opened the door to the facility, and was surprised to see that not only was the facility in perfect shape, but all the SCPs were fine and were walking around. It was like a secret city almost, with SCPs playing and talking, and some were even making things.

"Hello there, Mr. Scientist." A voice said behind Bryan, once the male had fully walked into the facility. Bryan turned to see the Plague Doctor standing behind him, as a different SCP closed the facility doors.

"I... I thought this place was going to explode." Bryan said in shock. The Plague Doctor gave a small laugh and began walking, motioning for Bryan to follow him. Bryan, still in shock, followed.

"The shapeshifter managed to turn off the self-destruction, and over the last five years we SCPs have created our own society. Some of the most dangerous among us are still locked up, but most of us are free." The Plague Doctor explained.

The Plague Doctor and Bryan talked for a while, Bryan being sure to make clear that he wasn't a threat and had no intention of telling anyone about this or locking the SCPs back up. As the two walked and talked, Bryan felt a tug on his sleeve. Bryan looked over to see the cyborg girl.

"Sir, would you play with me?" The little girl asked. Bryan smiled at her, reminded of his own daughter Amethyst in that moment. Bryan leaned down so he was at face level with the girl.

"I would love to play, but at the moment I'm looking for someone. Once I'm done, I promise I'll play with you. Do you happen to know of a black and purple dragon guy named Rhino?" Bryan said to her. The girl thought for a second, before nodding her head.

The girl led Bryan away, the male shooting a small look and a wave to the Plautus Doctor, who returned said wave. The cyborg girl led Bryan down a different hallway, and then into a room. Inside the room stood a familiar dragon-man turned the other way while talking to someone.

"Rhino... it's really you..." Bryan said, tears beginning to run down his cheeks. Rhino turned around quickly upon hearing Bryan's voice, and tears appeared in his eyes. Rhino ran up to Bryan, who had run up to him as well, and the two were quick to embrace and kiss.

"I missed you so much, I tried to come here and find you while Bri watched Amethyst, but then there was the containment breach, and then the explosion, and-" Bryan started rambling, but was cut off by a kiss from Rhino.

"I missed you too, now how about we calm down and you can tell me what's happened for the last few years?" Rhino said. Bryan took a deep breath, and then the two sat down. Bryan told Rhino about what he had been doing after Rhino was captured, all while he played with the cyborg girl.

"So Bri took Amethyst, and you have no idea where they are anymore?" Rhino asked, to which Bryan nodded sadly. Rhino growled angrily, wanting to rip Bri apart at the moment for taking his daughter away from his husband.

"I'm sure Bri's been good to Amethyst though, and she was right. I doubt I would have been able to raise Amethyst by myself. In a way, it's for the best." Bryan said, holding back tears. The cyborg girl stopped playing and hugged the former scientist, who hugged back.

"Don't say that Mr. Scientist! You would have been a great dad, I'm sure!" The little girl said comfortingly as a tear rolled down Bryan's cheek. Bryan hugged the girl closer and rubbed her head. Rhino went up to the two and pulled them into his arms, kissing Bryan on the side of his head.

"It'll be okay. We have each other now, and we can get through this together. I promise that I will never leave you again, no matter what happens." Rhino said, holding his lover, and the little girl, close to him.
