I managed to buckle myself in before dad drove off, thank God. Dad seemed very mad, so I didn't want to say anything about before. Even though HE GAVE AWAY OUR HOME ADDRESS.

When we arrived home, I decided to leave him alone so I sat in the main living room and watched TV. I was still very curious as to what dad was doing down in his lab though.

''JARVIS. I have a question...'' I said, trying to sound not-at-all suspicious.

''What is it, Miss. Stark?'' He asked.

''Can you tell me what my dad is doing in his lab, please?'' I hoped he would tell me.

''I believe he is attempting to figure out what caused the explosion.'' JARVIS answered. I mumbled my thanks and continued watching TV. I wondered if Happy was okay, surely he would be, right?

My thoughts were interrupted when the doorbell went and I saw a young woman standing at the door.

''JARVIS, alert my dad about the girl, please.'' I spoke, watching her closely.

''Already done, Miss. Stark.'' JARVIS replied. Just then, the woman noticed me. I didn't move an inch. She knocked again and the door opened, allowing her to enter. Then dad came upstairs in his Iron Man suit. Am I surprised? No.

''Right there is fine.'' He stopped her. ''You're not the Mandarin. Are you?'' He lifted his face-helmet-thingy. ''Are you?''

''You don't remember.'' The woman chuckled, ''Why am I not surprised?''

''Don't take it personally. I don't remember what I had for breakfast.'' Dad retorted.

''Gluten-free waffles, dad.''

''Gluten-free waffles, sir.'' JARVIS and I said simultaneously.

''That's right.'' He murmured.

''Okay, look, I need to be alone with you, someplace not here. It's urgent.'' The woman spoke, looking around.

Dad turned around and allowed her further into the house, ''Normally, I'd go for that sort of thing, but now I'm in a committed relationship.'' A bag flew down to the bottom floor. ''It's...'' And another, ''With her.'' He finished.

''Tony?'' Mom called out as he climbed out of his suit. ''Is somebody there?''

''Other than me...'' I huffed.

''Yeah, it's Maya Hansen.'' He smirked.

''So you do remember her. From where?'' I questioned.

''Old botanist pal that I used to know, barely.'' Dad answered just as mom came downstairs. He then mumbled something to 'Maya'.

''I'm sorry. With Happy in the hospital, I didn't know we were expecting guests.'' Mom hummed.

''Dad's fault for telling the world where we live.'' I grunted.

''We weren't.'' Dad said.

''And old girlfriends.'' Mom smiled.

''No, not really. It was just one night.'' Maya tried.

Dad agreed, like he always would around his girlfriend and kid. ''That's how you did it, isn't it?'' Mom queried. This is where I zone out of the adult conversation and keep my eyes on the TV. Well, until mom says we're going out of town.

''The man says no.'' Dad argued.

''I agree with mom!'' I chimed in. Maya agreed.

''I'm sorry, that's a terrible idea. Please don't touch her bags.'' Dad demanded, as Maya went for the bags.

''This is how normal people behave.'' Mom explained.

''I can't protect the two of you out there.'' Dad raised his voice, gesturing towards mom and I.

The Maya interrupted, ''Is...Is that normal?'' Shouldn't have said that, Maya.

''Yes, this is normal!''

''Sadly, that is very normal.''

''Yeah, quite normal.'' Mom, dad and I said in unison.

''It's a big bunny! Relax about it!'' Dad yelled. This man needs to take a chill pill.

From there, I glanced at the TV to see our house on it... Maya apparently saw it as well, because she attempted to interrupt my parents arguing. And then I saw something flying towards our house. I didn't even have enough time to turn around before the explosion hit. Next thing I know, everything is black.

Third Person

Tony only had time to get his Iron Man suit on Pepper, allowing him and Lexi-Mae to fall. While both Lexi-Mae and Maya fell unconscious, Tony was in pain and Pepper had the least amount of damage done (she was in the suit, after all.)

More helicopters came charging toward the mansion, firing multiple missiles. It was complete and utter chaos. Half of the floor fell through the cliff, leaving Tony stranded on one side of the room and the three girls on the side closest to the front door.

''Get her and Lexi, I'm gonna find a way around!'' Tony demanded, gesturing towards his daughter and Maya. Pepper stood there lifeless and in shock. ''Stop stopping. Get them and get outside.'' Nothing. ''GO!'' he yelled. Finally, Pepper listened and grabbed Lexi. She then ran towards Maya and shook her awake, which they then ran out the front door (or what was left of it.)

With Tony still inside, the bombs just kept coming. And the house just kept falling. Pepper attempted to wake Lexi up, but it was impossible when she was just as worried as Tony was still inside. Eventually, Tony summoned his suit off of Pepper before she impulsively decided to run back inside and help the man.

''JARVIS, where's my flight power?!'' Tony asked, frantic.

''Working on it, sir. This is a prototype.'' JARVIS replied. Well, that's not good.

Tony struggled, but was soon to hit one of the helicopters with a blast and a piece of the house. His systems were failing, but continued to fight. Helicopters were shooting at him left, right and centre but Tony wouldn't go down without a fight.

Pepper and Maya watched with terror, while Lexi was still unconscious.

Inside, Tony fell through into his - now - destroyed lab. His suits were being blown up, one by one - which was devastating for Tony. His cars were falling into the water, as well as the house itself. And soon enough, Tony fell with it.

As soon as Pepper thought it was safe enough, she told Maya to stay with Lexi and to get her to wake up, and then ran inside of the rest of the torn down house. She looked over the cliff to see the water and saw Tony was nowhere to be found.

''TONY!'' She screamed, absolutely devastated. The man was drowning underneath all of the rubble (and water, of course.)

Then he flew out. It was a miracle, really.

But Pepper didn't see. She thought him dead. She trudged back to where Lexi-Mae and Maya sat, and only now was Lexi waking up.
