Sapnap was Dream's friend, but oftentimes he could be more than a little annoying.
For instance, when he BARGED IN ON DREAM. Which he did do occasionally, but Dream was never actually expecting it, which was perfectly reasonable. Nobody should barge in on anybody in his own house. In his own house.
This would not do.
"Sapnap, answer me," Dream said, trying to act like the other boy hadn't startled him at all. He turned around, frowning at his friend, who just offered Dream a supposed-to-be-dazzling smile. It just made the blonde angrier. "What the actual hell are you doing here?!"
Sapnap shrugged casually, hands in his pockets. He was dressed in a casual dark tunic, with a white jacket thrown over it and a flame-red scarf around his neck. A silver ribbon was threaded through his dark hair, and he was leaning casually against the doorway as if he owned the house.
"Can't I come to see a friend? Sorry for just barging in, it looks like you're a bit... busy," Sapnap commented, tilting his head at Fundy with a curious smile.
Recognizing a playful tone, Fundy probably guessed what Sapnap was saying and he snarled low in his throat, sounding more like a wolf than a fox. Dream had to hand it to him-- he could be scary when he wanted to be, and using a bow with a wounded shoulder must have hurt, badly. Blood was running in thick streams down Fundy's arm and staining his light-coloured uniform. It really did look like a soldier's uniform, Dream saw, wondering just who this boy really was.
"Nyatakan nama dan perniagaan anda," Fundy growled, his voice moving almost melodically through the unfamiliar words. Not Garnian, so Topsian, Dream guessed. (State your name and your business.)
Dream put his hand on Fundy's arm, getting the other boy to lower the bow. "Nie zna Topzina," he murmured to Fundy in Garnian. "Mógłby znać Garnia, ale jest głupi, więc wątpię w to." (He doesn't know Topsian. He might know Garnian, but he's stupid, and I doubt it.)
Sap put his hands up in a teasing manner, offering Fundy another of his bright smiles. "Hey, calm down, okay? Wh... what are you two saying?"
Fundy gave Dream an annoyed look, folding his bow back completely, though he winced while doing it. "Myślałem, że powiedziałeś, że wszyscy znają Garnia." (I thought you said everyone knew Garnian.) He gave Sapnap a wary stare, and then, to Dream's surprise, he ducked quickly behind the other boy as if Dream would protect him.
"Woah, wow, what are you doing?" Dream laughed, forgetting to talk in Garnian. He pushed Fundy gently away, letting out a small sigh. He turned to Sapnap. "This is Fundy. He's... actually, I don't know much about who he is. I just kind of found him."
Fundy glared at Dream, obviously not a fan of Dream's introduction. His ears were twitching from side to side as if he were uncomfortable, and though he had put his bow away, his hands still clutched one of the deadly-sharp arrows.
Sapnap raised an eyebrow, moving out from the doorway and looking Fundy up and down. Dream didn't miss Sapnap pausing as he noticed Fundy's foxlike ears and fluffy, sunset-orange tail. "Well, he's obviously... Topsian," he said hesitantly, frowning.
Dream levelled a stare at Sapnap. "And? Don't tell me you have something personal against Topsaz, Sap. The war's been going on for over a hundred years and nobody's died on either side, for Sidus' sake, you can't even call it a war anymore."
"Still, it's illegal," Sapnap reminded Dream. "Harboring someone of Topsian decent is a crime, and if they catch this-- this Fundy, here, off to prison he goes." He mimed an explosion. "And all your hard, caring work of bandaging him will be for nought."
