"You know you really are the sun." I said. "... And I hate it."

Silence.

He continued to stare at me and I stared at him back.

What is this? A staring contest?

He broke into a wide smile. "You know Sunnie, you're cute. Calling me a sun is a bit too much, but hey! That's the best compliment someone has ever given me."

I flinched. What the? Its like he's radiating some sort of pure and innocent light... God, it's burning my eyes!

But wait... Did he just say I'm cute?

I cleared my throat and pulled myself together. "Okay... just so you know, I never meant to say it as a compliment. But since you like it so much... just think of it as that." I said

"Thanks Sunnie." He happily said.

I tightened my grip on the umbrella, still shaken by what he said.

Both of us stayed silent for a while as we stood in the rain with umbrellas in our hands.

The silence broke when he gave a little laugh. "It's funny," He said as he looked up towards the gray cloudy sky. "My name's Rain yet I hate the rain. And how your name is Sunnie yet you hate sunny days."

He looked at me once again. "Have you ever thought how ironic that is?"

Oh please, I can't stand the amount of irony in this story. Maybe we should change the title to "What The Iron(y) Said" or something.

I couldn't help but smile.

Maybe because I had a lot of people ask me how ironic my situation is and that I've had enough. Or, maybe its because I'm a little happy that there's someone with an ironic name like mine.

"Yeah, you really are cute." He said.

My smile faded as I feel my face turn hot. This guy is really dangerous.

"Listen, I really have to go now. It was fun talking to you." He said as waved goodbye at me.

He ran to the door and took a last look at me as he left.

I'm left alone and I could only hear the sound of raindrops.

I've never really talked to a lot of boys before so I find uncomfortable. But, with that guy... It was actually nice.

I couldn't help but smile once again.

"I SAW THAT SUNNIE!" I heard Rain Blue's voice from inside the school building.

I frowned and walked away.

---------------

The next morning...

"Naddie!" I exclaimed as I ran towards Naddie's seat and hugged her. She looked at me and immediately noticed the dark circles in her eyes.

"Girl, are you okay?" I asked.

"Does it look like I'm okay? And Jesus Christ, why are you so noisy first thing in the morning?" She said in an angry tone. With matching facial expression.

"Sorry... Saddie." I said, backing away. "Well uhm, How was your date with Patrick Green?" I asked.

I'm very curious what happened to their date yesterday.

She glared at me. "I don't wanna talk about it." She turned her head away and placed her earphones in her ear. Probably saying she doesn't want to talk to me anymore.

I went back to my seat since I know that there's no use talking to a girl with a "leave me alone or I'll kill myself" kind of vibe.

Its difficult having an emo freak of a friend...

----------------

It's lunch time and after fifteen minutes of forcing Saddie to go with me to the cafeteria and eat, we finally went.

"You're not going to eat anything Saddie?" I asked her as we sat at our table.

"I'd rather kill myself than eat cafeteria food." She answered coldly.

I nodded. Typical answer.

I ate quietly as I felt Saddie stare at me. This is so awkward. Why did I even force Saddie to eat with me again?

I was just minding my own businesses when Saddie suddenly said out of the blue. "I hate your name."

I was a little bit surprised by what she just said, but still, I agreed. "Me too..."

"---But I like it."

I looked up to see who was rudely joining in on our small talk, and of course, it was no other than Rain Blue who was holding a tray full of food.

I raised an eyebrow, "What are you doing here?"

"To eat of course." He answered as he placed his tray on our table. "Scoot over" he said as he sat beside me.

I scowled at him. "What? Something wrong?"

He looked at me, as if surprised, "How did you know something was wrong?"

I sighed, "It's written all over your face. You were squinting, it looks like your angry."

"Hmmm... I never knew I did that. But since you asked, I actually need help with something. Are you free after school?"

-----------------

I break into a sweat as I raked the leaves off at the courtyard of the school. I got my hanky and wiped my sweat. I've been doing this for thirty minutes now and I never knew it was this hard. Huh?

Wait...

"WHY AM I DOING THIS AGAIN?" I shouted at Rain Blue who was busy picking up leaves.

He placed his hand behind his head then said, "Sorry Sunnie. I got punished for being tardy." Tardy? Well im not surprised. It seems typical for Rain to do, since he looks slow.

"But why does it have to be me? You have plenty of friends don't you?!" I whined.

"I did ask them but they refused. Besides, you're my friend right Sunnie?"

"What? No." I immediately answered.

He laughed, "Don't say that. It hurts." Says the guy who's laughing...
I placed the rake down and sat on the ground. "I'm tired. I don't wanna do this anymore."

"Eh? You're gonna make me do all the work now?" He complained.

I nodded. "It was your work to begin with."

He sighed. "Sunnie, you're such a sadist."

-----------------

Well this was one hell of a long update.
Anyway! Had a new drawing of Rain Blue wearing a turtleneck because why not?

As usual, I hope you enjoy my one of a hell ironic story :)
