A very random Disney rant becuase I want to

Ok not much of a rant but more like something I realized.

You know how all those Disney movies are all just cute and happy and just a fairy tale with a happy ending?

Well a while ago I discovered that those movies are basically sugarcoated versions of the originals. Which are a lot darker and, in some, gorey.

For example, the ones I remembered on the top of my head are Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.

In Snow White the biggest thing I remembered was that Snow didn't died from the poisoned apple but instead she choked on the piece of it and died. Then the prince found her corpse and kissed her which then turned into a make out session where he sucked her mouth so hard that the piece of apple came out and he spit it out, reviving her.

I- moving on

In Sleeping Beauty, what I remembered was that when the prince found Aurora he didn't woke her up with a true loves kiss. Instead, he was for enamored with her beauty that he couldn't resist and fucked her... Yep, he fucked her while she was under her curse and then when he was finished he left her there... Pregnant... The curse was broken 9 months due to her giving birth to twins. A boy and a girl. Then her father was furious with her about it, which doesn't make sense becuase she was under A CURSE, and exiled her form the kingdom.

In Cinderella what I remembered was that during the slipper scene, the step mother, which as you know, wanted to make one of her daughters to marry the prince but of course the slipper didn't fit so what did she do? She made her daughter cut off her toes and put on the slipper. Then Cinderella came in and put on the slipper... That was full of her step sisters blood...

Anyway, one thing I remembered is that the only movie that is close to the darker versions of this stories is called Into The Woods. I don't know for sure since I haven't watched it in years. I'm thinking of re watching so yeah.
