*Louis' pov*
" Louis O'gilt?" I hear someone call from close behind me. I quickly turn around, not recognizing the voice. A taller woman, probably in her late 20's early 30's was standing behind me. She's wearing a black dress that cut off just below the knee and black flats. She has a bag over her shoulder, possibly a computer bag or something. "Yes." I say in a dead voice, not yet sure if I should be on edge. On one hand it could be Miss Ava, on the other hand I have a lot of enemies that would send other people after me. "No need to be on edge, I'm Mr. K's 'assistant'." She said, putting extra stain on the last word. 'Probably not his actual assistant.' I think as I brush it off, still slightly on edge. " Mr. K said you were young but I was thinking at least 18 or 19." She said, looking at me. I retrieve the cards I wrote everything on and handed them to her. "Ya, that's the first thing most people say." I said, slight sarcasm slipping into my otherwise dead voice. "So the extra note cards I'm guessing have specific people they're addressed to?" She says in a questioning tone. "Ya, they're more likely to trust you if they have a note from me." I say, taking one and showing her the back. "I also wrote some of the manner's weakness and strengths, as well as some stuff about the 'family' that lives there. Also all points into the manner." I say simply, handing her the card back. She honestly looks kinda surprised. "Impressive kid, then again I suppose you would have to be to be 'the best of the best' at such a young age." She says, flashing me a small smile. I simply smile back, honestly I don't really know how to respond when someone complements me. I've been called every name you can think of, bitch, asshole, loser, weird triplet, evil triplet, but I rarely ever get compliments so I kinda just freeze up and smile. (A/n- same Lou, same😂) "Hey Sharpie....." I hear a familiar voice call from behind me, getting both me and Ava's attention. "Oh, hey mom!" I say as she walks up behind me, placing her hand just below the middle of my shoulder blades. 'And here we go.' I think as she gives Ava a small smile. Goldie can be.... Overprotective at times, especially around people she doesn't know. "And who's this son?" She asks, her tone light and almost inviting. But I know better, there was the ever so slightest hint of venom in her voice, almost unnoticeable to anyone that doesn't know her well. "Miss Ava, this is Goldie O'gilt, Mom, this is Miss Ava." I say, seeing them both visibly relax. I already told mom I was meeting Miss Ava here and a little about why, deciding to leave out exact details. "Well it's nice to meet you." Mom says, giving Ava a genuine smile. "Same to you." Ava says, smiling back. "Oh and before I forget." Ava says reaching into the front pocket of her bag. She pulls out a small, black, flip phone and hands it to me. "It already has my contact in it, you can add any others you need. I do suggest you use it only as needed, but that's up to you." She says, giving me a small yet stern smile. "I'll keep that in mind, and I suppose you'll call me with updates every now and then." I say, the end sounding less like a question and more like a statement. "Yes, and I'll try to call later at night so it'll be easier to get away from the others." She says as I nod. I honestly don't think mom is paying much attention at this point, which doesn't surprise me much. "Alright, I'll tell you if I find anymore weaknesses in the manner's defenses." I say as she nods back. "It's settled then, I should get going before anyone sees us, but it was nice talking to you." She says starting to walk away. "Likewise." I say as I walk back towards the middle of town, going the opposite direction of Ava. "So Sharpie." Goldie says as we start to walk. "How have you been this last week? Haven't gotten to talk to you much." She says, smiling at me. "I've been ok I guess." I say, smiling back at her. I'm honestly lucky to have her as my mom, she really does care about me..... Even if she shows it by being overprotective and worrying. I suppose that's what parents are supposed to do though, Uncle Donald always worried about us when we were kids. I sigh slightly as I lean into Goldie's side as we walk, she simply responds by putting her arm around my shoulder. "What are you thinking about kid?" She asks as we walk. "Nothing really jus-" I start before seeing Scrooge and Della walking towards us. I guess Goldie noticed to because her light grip on my shoulder get slightly tighter. Like I said, overprotective. "Hey Louis...." Della says, her voice losing it's usually sweet tone as the two got closer. "O'gilt..." Scrooge says, clearly addressing Goldie. I refrain from answering as Goldie looks down at me before looking up at Scrooge again. "Mcduck..." She answers in an almost sweet tone, but I can tell he can see right through it. "Louie, what are you doing here with her?" he asks, his anger made clear in his tone. "A, it's Louis. And B, just walking around." I respond, fighting the smug smile trying to make it's way onto my face at the angry look I get in response. I'm honestly not sure why he's so pissed off but I'm having fun so I don't care. "Cool..." Della says, her tone almost unreadable. 'Ya, I'm sure you think that.' I think as I try my hardest not to roll my eyes, a bad habit I've started as of recently. "Well we'll be leaving soon, so don't get to attached." I hear the all to familiar voice of the ever so sarcastic Lena Sabrewing say from somewhere behind Della. "And if I already am?" I ask, just as much sarcasm in my voice. I hear a small, yet defeated, sigh as I let a small, smug smile reach my face. "Anyway I also have to leave soon, so I guess I'll see you later?" Goldie says, moving so we're now facing each other. "Yep see you later." I say as I give her a quick hug. She quickly returns my hug. 'Best mom ever.'
