"Who was that?" Jennifer mumbled to herself. "Huh?" Olivia looked up at Jennifer, "Hey where's that rogue dude?" Olivia got up and leaned against Jackson. The Rogue wasn't anywhere in sight. "Oh well. Should we keep moving?" Jackson looked to the other. They were walking when Jennifer noticed the man by the train, "Hey uh" — The man had vanished — "There's... Ugh, never mind."
On their way away from the trainwreck, Jennifer can't help but look around. She notices a strange figure with wings feasting on Justin's body. "Hey there's som-" The creature turns its head towards her. "Oh no," It begins to fly towards her. Jennifer gets ready to have the thing knock her to the ground, but as soon as it reaches her, it fades away into dust. "That's... Strange," Jennifer says to herself, "Anyone else notice those things?"
"What things?" Jackson looks at her with confusion. Jennifer tries to describe it, "You know, those like... flying things. the one that just flew at me."
"No clue what you're talking about, Jenn," Jackson says. "I- Wha-" ― Jennifer stammered in disbelief ― "How could you not see them??" The group continued to walk away from the train crash. "There's no way you couldn't have seen those things. They stood out from everything else here," Jennifer says. She looks back and notices that Justin's body disappears. "Anyone else?" Jackson asks the others if they had seen it, "Nope, they do sound pretty freaky though," Jamie says. Olivia shakes her head. Jenn brushes it off.
Eventually, the remaining 4 reach a city. "Hello, We welcome you all to the city of Yaander," A lady near the city walls spoke as the gates to the city open as the guard lowered their weapons, "We recommend you four tread lightly here. Our city has been experiencing a few quite unfortunate events." They all walk through the Gates of Yaander, the place is a ghost town. All remain indoors...all except the wind. Buildings tower over the group, windows boarded up, smashed, glass scattered in the streets. "It's really empty out here..." Jamie looks around.
The Yaander Gates slam closed making Jamie jump and footsteps approach them, "The reason this place is so empty is that the town is currently at war. Everyone's preppin'." A man spoke to them. They all turn to get a look at the dude. He wears a leather jacket with a gear on the back and a bronze striped bandana, "Name's Carl." He puts a hand on his hip and the other on his gun. "You look like a stereotypical bandit," Jennifer says out loud.
"So, why d'you four find yourselves in this here, Yaander?" Carl asks them. "No reason in particular," Jackson says. Crowds of people gather in the streets with guns, spears, knives, and other weapons. "It's time," Carl walks towards the crowds, "We battle for our freedom!" They all charge the back wall and begin to tear it down to avoid being noticed by the guards at the front. "Should we help?" Jennifer looks at them. "Hey, Carl! What's all this about?" She shouts.
He jogs over, "For years, Yaander has been under corrupt government control. This city has no security. Guards abuse their power. Many have died at the hands of these bastards. We, as Citizens of Yaander, are fed up, and we're taking matters into our own hands. You could join us if you'd like. We could use the help...What d'ya say?" Carl reaches out his hand.
"Why not," Jackson shakes it.
