"Be careful next time, kid." said a cloaked figure. Jackson had no idea there were actually other people here. Though, he was relieved there were.
"W-Who are you? And why'd you save me?" Jack asked the person.
"let's save the questions for later.
She hopped the gears with ease. "Better than anything i could ever do. She's got quite the skill." Jack thought to himself. We finally reached the town.
"What's up with this place? Where are we?" Jack questioned the things around him.
They drops him. "Where are we?" They pause, "We're in The Clock! That's where we are!"
"A-And who are you?" Jack started shaking a bit.
"I'm Jenn." The Cloak flew off revealing the figure's true appearance, "Anyway, i saved you, and you seem like you could be useful. Join me, kid!"
"I HAVE A NAME, JENN!" Jack shouted at Jenn
"Jeez. What is it then?"
"Call me Jack." Jackson gets up and dusted off his shorts.
Jackson remembered something, He saw something on his Card and it was his Player Type. After a moment of thinking about it, he thought he'd ask Jenn about it later. Jenn gestured for him to follow. They'd walked for what seemed like kilometres. They finally reached a house, Jenn's ClockQuest house. People can create homes use Natural Resources from the game. Jackson thought that was pretty nifty.
"So... this is your house?" Jack looked at it with amazement as he walked inside.
"Yup. Made it all by myself." Jenn did a 360 as she walked in front of him. "Help yourself, Jack. Don't take too much and don't check the second Fridge. It's the biggest one. Just- don't open it. Those are my only rules." Though, it was too late, as Jack had already made it to the Fridge. He was starving.
Dead bodies began falling out of the Fridge. Jack was terrified. He closed it so they'd stop falling out. Jack began apologizing to Jenn profusely.
"What'd you do, Ja- I TOLD YOU TO STAY OUT OF THERE." She yells at him after noticing the pile of Bodies in front of the Fridge. "Guess i'm going to have to kill you too... It was nice meeting you, Jack, but no way in hell am I letting some kid be a witness."
Jenn reaches behind her back, and pull out a SledgeHammer. Jack asked her to spare him. She started swinging it. Jack made an X with his arms to protect himself, He thought it might be a good idea if he grabbed the SledgeHammer from her and extended his arms. She swings the hammer downwards and misses. the SledgeHammer's handle snaps. and the head comes back up and hits her.
She gets up and thought about what just happened, "WAIT WHAT NO I'VE USED THAT THING FOR YEARS AND IT'S NEVER BROKEN!!!" Jenn falls to her knees in defeat.
"What just... happened..?" Jack asked himself, not expecting a response but getting one anyway. "YOU BROKE MY SLEDGEHAMMER WITH YOUR STUPID ABILITY!" Jenn responds infuriated.
"Ability?" Jack was not aware that there were any sort of abilities "also, What does Gen 2 mean?"
Jenn remembered that he was new here, so she decided she'd walk him through it;
Gen 2 is a player type. Player types are used as a term to generalize someone's personality and role in The Clock. Depending on the player type, the player will get a certain time-related ability. Gen 3 players have what we call Reload, They have abilities like Save and Load, they are able to save a spot in time and come back to it later. Gen 2 players have Age-Manipulation abilities, like Time Theft and Age. Gen 1 players have Time Creation abilities, players with these are practically gods, they have abilities like Time-Trap, Stutter, and Erase. Beta players have Time-Altering abilities, like Time-Acceleration, Time-Inversion and Time-Reduction. Alpha players have Time-Arrangement abilities, like Scramble and Skip.
"There's already been an incident with a beta player who had rewind back to 1960."
End of Chapter 3.
